nice setting

we stayed on this site in september and although it is a lovely well looked after site we found it noisy day and night due to the 2 factories nearby and the railway at the bottom of site which was noisier at night due to goods trains going past all night we hardly slept during our visitwe will not be returning.

Truly beautiful location!

Not many sites can boast huge White Castle gates as you approach the club site, the wow factor is from Chirk Castle which is on their doorstep. The site is quiet well laid out and all facilities within a few steps of the caravan. The toilet block and showers are central to all areas. The site is immaculate and very well kept, we were very impressed with site wardens help and dedication to their job. So thank you Lady Margaret site for making our very first caravan experience a pleasure and easy to cope. Great site for youngsters who can safely explore and have fun

Beware of the Bunnies!

This is a lovely site in a beautiful and interesting part of the country with a choice of wooded or more open pitches. Dog owners should be aware that there there must be two rabbits and a squirrel for every person on site so keep tight hold of the lead! At least the rodents keep the grass well mown and must save the club loads of money on fuel.

Autumn visit

We spent 7 days on this site, a very large site, grass and hardstanding pitches. One toilet block for a very large site, the toilets and showers are very dated, paint peeling off the walls in the ladies toilets, one hair dryer, and the washing machine out of the ark. apart from that, Chirk is a lovely place, lovely walks along the canal and the castle well worth a visit,

Weekend Stay - Chirk

Stayed for a weekend and had a lovely time despite the weather. Only a stones throw from beautiful Chirk Castle, would recommend a visit there. Also only a short walk into Chirk for the shops, pubs and a stroll along the aqueduct

Start of Holiday

We arrived to be greeted by friendly and helpul warden and they pointed out their tee shirts with the 5 mph sign on it and asked us to co operate with the speed limit. We wanted a hard standing awning pitch so headed down to the lower road level. We found our pitch but the caravan marker was right at the edge of the pitch this was because there was only room for the caravan and awning with no space for our car at the side of the caravan. All the cars on this level were parked sideways in front of the caravans on both sides of the road. This presented us with a worry of the car getting scratched or damaged by groups of children riding their bikes or scooters the wrong way round the road system and in speeds in excess of 5mph. The were also riding between the vans on our side of the road from the top road down the grassy bank. One day when we were on our way out in the I looked in the mirror and to my surprise their was a child of about 7 on a bike tring to come to over take me as I was going at 5mph which was slower than him. The toilet block on this site is very tired and is in desperate need of renovation. The water pressure is terrible and two nights running I had to change showers mid shower as the water stopped altogether. The ceiling tiles were moudly and their was dead flies in the light fittings. Having said that the site is set in a lovely area with lots of walking from site. Come on caravan club we pay enough to stay on this site update it please
