Immaculate friendly site

We arrived at this immaculately kept site to a warm friendly welcome. Outstanding clean and warm Toilet block. Quietly secluded with good access by road for touring Anglesey and North Wales including Snowdonia. Locally the beach at Bennlech was stunning and a rewarding surprise pint awaited in "The Ship" PH which we returned to for an excellent dinner the same evening. Anglesey is a small island and Penrhos is well situated to also tour the north coast - although once off the main route there were some interesting roads to accommodate in a Motorhome. We were a little disappointed in the California Hotel 10 mins walk away but learned about a restaurant newly opened "Rhos Fawr" at the local golf club just 5 mins further away. We enjoyed a very good meal at reasonable price. A very enjoyable peaceful 4 night stay with access to so many beautiful views. Beaumaris well worth a visit - try Ruby Mae's tearooms for an indulgent breakfast, visit Beaumaris castle and if you're up to it an entertaining and fun ride on one of the RIB boats along the Menai Strait.

Dog Owners

Beautiful well maintained site, lovely helpful wardens. Our stay was spoiled by some selfish dog owners who allowed their dogs to foul round our pitch just opening caravan door and putting dog out. Please don't spoil others stay by being so selfish, use dog walk.

Excellent site

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Penrhos, the local area is stunning. One negative which is nothing to do with the site is the Local charges for parking a motorhome are extortionate Lovely site, Great dog walk, large pitches.

Great for chilling

Great site, friendly staff and a lovely dog walk, everything superb ---- but the toilet block is desperately in need of a refurb, so well done to the site team for keeping it so clean.

Lovely quiet site on Anglesey

We recently stayed 2 nights at this site. It was very quiet, and a great base to drive around the island. The facilities were first class, warm and very clean. Unfortunately the local pub, The California Hotel, don't serve meals on Monday and Tuesdays, and the walk would be a bit hair raising as there is not a footpath.

Convenient for Dublin Ferry

A lovely site in a beautiful part of Anglesey. We only intended to stay one night having come back from Ireland on the ferry from Dublin but in fact stayed four nights because it was so nice. Wardens extremely helpful and waited for us to arrive at 8 pm and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely use this site for future stop off to and from Ireland.
