Convenient for Dublin Ferry

A lovely site in a beautiful part of Anglesey. We only intended to stay one night having come back from Ireland on the ferry from Dublin but in fact stayed four nights because it was so nice. Wardens extremely helpful and waited for us to arrive at 8 pm and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely use this site for future stop off to and from Ireland.

Penrhos site

We stayed here earlier this year combining a break with some work in the area. Site was easy to find, clean, quite and even though the weather was very windy and rainy for a couple of days we enjoyed our stay. We will be going again next year, particularly enjoy woods and beach at Newborough. The dog walk on site was large and spacious, unlike some sites where it can be small. Also liked the fresh herbs that were available growing for people to use, thank you

Great place to chill

We have come here many times now. It is always peaceful and lovely. We love Anglesey, it is such a beautiful place. This time, the weather was good for half of our stay, in fact, Sunday 2/10/16 was fabulous. We spent the whole day around the beaches and walking the dogs. What a lovely day we had. This site is near to lots of places and you don't have to go that far to find supermarkets to fill your fridge.

A good all round club site.

I have used this site many times, latest twice last year and twice this year. I find the site friendly, wardens were very helpful at checkin. Central location to all of Anglesey, even coarse fishing within 5 mins drive. I notice that the nearby pub has reopened this year, with bar meals of good quality. Caravan site provides good TV and Wi-Fi.

Zip Wire Week

Access to site is only single lane which can be a problem, not many service points which meant a great distance to get water and empty waste water. There seemed to be a lot of caravans in close proximity in the middle, not our type of site but an enjoyable stay never the less

A good week but

On arriving at Penrhos after a 6.5 hour drive I was very grumpy to find all the hard standings taken & only boggy grass sloping pitches left (some too steep for levelling a motorhome on). I did find the last flat grass pitch (not much grass left as it had been killed by the previous occupants ground sheet & was partly bare earth). This made me wish I had not come all this way to this site. However in the morning a few vans left & I swapped to a hard standing. It seemed a lot of people arrived with their highly polished outfits & we're driving around & around looking for hardstandings & having to end up pitching on the boggy grass. The CC club needs to change its booking system to like the 'other' club so you can book the type of pitch you want (grass or hardstanding) so you don't arrive & become disappointed. Also on site several pitches were put aside for people who had bought season pitches & It's annoying when you see these hardstandings either empty & reserved but not used or vans parked up on them with nobody in them for days (like one parked next to me). This is in effect blocking pitches which I do not agree with. However I went on to enjoy my week on Anglesey & had a good holiday. Points to note about this site - toilet block very dated & hand dryer in gents useless. Periodic smell of sewage by toilet block - better after septic tank had been emptied. You can walk to nearest village of Brynteg but nothing there other than a pub - you need to drive to get anywhere as bus service infrequent & local taxi firm expensive (£10 for the two of us to go 5 miles to Llangefni).  Places we visited on island & enjoyed very much were Penmon point, South Stack, Llanddwyn Island Nr Newborough, Plas Newydd NT house & gardens. So to sum up a good base for exploring Anglesey but be prepared on arrival that you may have to pitch on boggy grass sloping pitches.

THE WORST SITE I HAVE EVER BEEN ON.

I was greeted by a female warden who was the most unhelpful person I have ever met on a caravan club site, I was pleased when she went off duty the next day. The site was disgusting with rubbish bins overflowing and drains blocked by leaves, there was bits of tree left lying around the nine days I was there, this was my first visit to this site and definitely my last, I was so discusted with the way we were treated.

last weeks hols

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Very busy but had time to chat. The shower block is in desperate need of update. There is an obvious problem with the sewage as there was an unpleasant smell next to the toilet block. Clean site but a lot of grass pitches so be early if you want hard standing. We like to be somewhere where you can walk to local places but unfortunately we hard to drive everywhere
