Fitmee back again

Stayed prior to Easter 2015 but had to leave early as my sister was unwell. Sadly she passed away 3 weeks later. We revisited with her husband 16th Aug for 6 nights. The men went walking 3 days of the holiday and they have now completed the whole coast of Anglesey some 125 miles or there abouts. The site seemed different without her being with us. However, the same excellent site standards were there. We have done what needed to be done by returning. It will be sometime before we do so again but that is out of choice and no reflection on the site or the wardens. The wardens were lovely when we said we had to leave taking 2 caravans off early. I was disappointed that we lost money because we hadn't given notice. Not quite sure how you are supposed to know you are going to be ill in 2 days time but that is the Caravan Club rules and not the site. I scored 4 * for peace and quite because it was school holidays and obviously there were quite a few children on site. Apart from that all was good. The dog walk is brilliant, mine love it, but I just wish all dog owners would pick up from their dogs. No excuses as two dog bins are supplied and regularly emptied.

Wonderful site especially for dogs

We visited this site 20 August for 8 nights and we were very pleasantly suprised as to how lovely it is. As recent owners of a rescue dog we were very impressed  by the large field just for the dogs to be exercised  in.The shower facilities were absolutely  fine   and the maintenance of the site was excellent. Centrally placed to vist Anglesey and easily  accessible  to the mainland. Despite the wet weather we had a lovely time. Our thanks to the wardens who work so hard behind the scenes to keep the site in tip top condition.

Lovely site in Anglesey

We were greeted by a wonderful flower lined drive to the immaculately presented site. Everyone was friendly and helpful, just a little busy as our arrival was on the bank holiday. I would heartily recommend this site to anyone, the only gripes being as many have mentioned previously that the toilet block (Mens) looks a little tired and in need of a tidy up and new ceiling tiles and the motorhome service point is a little difficult to  use if you have a large outfit. Other than that, the facilities are excellent for families and four legged friends. Well done guys!!

happy holiday

We as a small family loved our stay. Our 10 year old daughter made friends quickly, and found the site quite the adventure. With a small wood and play area. Location is perfect close to Benllech witch has  a beautiful beach. Exploring Anglesey was great. I would agree the toilet blocks are older however they are clean and showers are good. Its really worth a visit.

Great Family Site to see the whole of Anglesey

This site, is a lovely and ideal base to visit all sides of the Island, 5 mins from Benllech Beach, great for Famililies and has a lovely dog friendly area too.  Visit Bull Bay and walk along the coastal path to see Seals and Dolphins/harbour porpoises. Visit the beaches on the other side of the island as in Newborough (Woodland paths as well), Aberffraw & Rhosneigr.  Plenty of dogs around the coastal paths.  Visit Beaumaris - crabbing off the pier, Boat ribes to Puffin island, and fantastic rib rides for the adrenaline junkies.  The site is well maintained, Wardens lovely and very helpful.  As some have commented the toilet block is one of the older ones but it's still clean, has warm and powerful showers personally I would rather have this then increasing the charges for staying on the site.

Great family holiday

Just returned from a two week break had a fabulous time. The site is well laid out, maintained to a high and standard and very clean. The wardens were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The location is great, a 5 minute drive to the nearest village with shops and a 10-15 minute drive to a large town. Benlech beach is lovely as is Red Wharf bay both of which are within a very short drive. Would definitely recommend this site.

ENJOYABLE TIME AWAY

Have just spent a full week in the peak season here with other members of our family and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As this was the peak season you can imagine that there was quite a good turn around with lots of coming & going which the wardens dealt with ease. it has a lovely big enclosed dog walking area and is ideal for a base to explore N. Wales and Anglsey. Would recommend this site and will go back.

First trip to North wales

Despite some very negative reviews, we found the site clean and tidy, and the wardens very helpful. There were a lot of children riding bikes around and around, and although nice to see that children could be safe to be left unaccompanied this was a nuisance when it came to the toilets being left untidy, or pass 9pm when we were settling our toddler. I'm not sure how you address this other than having 'family' pitches and enforcing the toilet key rules. The site did put on a 'fun day' although we missed it due to sightseeing, but it was nice to see an attempt to entertain the site. The play park is more than enough for older children to use. Younger visitors (under 3's) may struggle to be entertained. The shower blocks are dated, but we couldn't complain with the cleanliness.... I was sad to return home to my shower as the pressure was miles better at the site. The last suggestion we would have, are for more family shower facilities. There's currently one 'bathroom', and there were regular queues to use it.

Well worth a visit

We had a very pleasant stay at this site in early August 2015. Safe for the kids to run around and the wardens even arranged a mornings fun and games for the kids. The site is handy for local villages and shops although not within walking distance. Plenty of local and larger shops within a couple of miles driving. Local beaches were fabulous but again not within walking distance although this didn't put us off and we were aware of this when booking the site. Lots to see and do within a short drive and good location for those that wish to explore a little further afield. Lovely part of the country to visit and although our weather was mixed while there it didn't keep us from doing anything. Toilet block was adequate although the smell from the waste tank area was quite strong at times when walking past it. No security entry barrier either but we never noticed anything or anyone untoward and felt comfortable at all times. Usual smiling happy faces from all the warden staff. Would recommend this site to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent camp site. Perfect size camp site for our family. We have a 6 year old and 5 year old, they quickly made friends with other children, and if felt safe enough to let them go off and play around the camp site. We all had a great time
