Nice Secluded Site

We visited in early May 2016. Usual high standard and staff very friendly and helpful. Site is close to a very nice pub (The Hare & Hounds) but quite a long way from pretty much anywhere else, so driving along narrow lanes was a daily routine. Nice area with lots of very pretty villages and towns but not very many sandy beaches that close by for younger children. Overall a pleasant stay but 5 days was more than enough to see the area.

Delightful!

Warm welcome, well laid out site withexcellent facilities, beautifully maintained; located in lovely spot, ideal for visiting so many places. Beautiful bluebells at this time of year through the woodland walk to the local pub, ( dog friendly) enjoyable meal. We will be back, would certainly recommend to friends. Thank you very much for ensuring our visit to the site was so good

Peaceful and reflective

We had visited this site a number of years ago, the difference was very obvious, a total refurbishment, the facilities were very clean and very comfortable. The warden and deputy very helpful and very busy maintaining this delightful site. I would recommend this site to everyone, we were made to feel comfortable excellent places to visit and the fish and chip run really worth having. I cant be more praiseworthy, defiantly will return.

A really nice and pleasant site

We recently stayed at this site and it soon became apparent that we were going to enjoy the site. The reception is very warm and friendly and the the facilities are excellent. The showers / toilet block was spotless as was the rest of site. I would definitely recommend this site, a credit to the people who run it.

Cramped Serviced Pitches

We have just returned from our first visit to this site. It is spotlessly clean and the Fish and Chips are a must as they are delicious. On the downside the wifi is probably the worst we have experienced on a club site.  The serviced pitches for which you obviously pay a premium are some of the most cramped we have ever experienced. We only had a porch awning up but it reached the edge of our pitch and it was impossible to park the car to the side of our caravan without going on the grass which was obviously the experience of previous occupants as it was muddy and tyre tracked. If it hadn't been a serviced pitch we wouldn't have been able to put a water carrier in place without parking on the grass. The site is also under the flight path for possibly Exeter airport as lots of Thomson planes flying overhead.  The site is in a good location for visiting lots of places.  We would visit again but wouldn't book a serviced pitch as the cheaper unserviced pitches offer lots more space and the ability to sit on a grassy surround rather than the small bit of gravel left once your outfit is in situ.

1st visit but won't be our last!

Very nice site, very well maintained by the very friendly wardens. Facilities excellent and great pub just a few minutes away. Bus stop near the pub so easy to get to Sidmouth and further afield. We will certainly be returning.

A lovely site in an interesting area

Peaceful site with friendly wardens and excellent recently refurbished facilities, pub with good beer and food 200 yds away, good walks/mountain bike rides from site - over 800 ft above sea level and some good views from nearby ridge road. If arriving in near future ignore 'road closed' sign as you come out of Honiton - just go straight past it as site is before roadworks.

A great week

We've just spent a very enjoyable week at Putts Corner.  It was our first visit and will certainly not be our last!   The site is very welcoming with wardens who were extremely friendly and helpful.   The long wooded dog walk went down very well with our Labrador and is one of the best we have come across in many years of staying on Club sites.   The bonus is the excellent Hare & Hounds about 200 yards further along from the site and approached via the continuation of the dog walk.   Some reviews have commented on the 'tight' size of the Serviced pitches but we didn't find it too much of a problem despite partly wet conditions. Overall a lovely site in a very scenic area.   We've never seen so many wild Primroses in the banks and hedgerows. Can't wait to return! Chris, Pat & Sam
