Pitch space

Whilst  we had a lovely  stay at Putts Corner we were both disappointed and surprised at the lack of space on the  fully serviced  pitches. There is barely enough room for the caravan and awning with the car parked beside. I had to let my wife get out of the car before I parked or she would have had to get out onto muddy grass. The grass was muddy  from tyre tracks from previous visitors as they had the same problems with such tight pitches.Insodentally, had we booked an unserviceable pitch then it appears we would have had more space. Sorry, rant over. As always the facilities  were immaculate, wardens friendly and generally  pleasant site.

Start of Season 2016

Arrived on day 2 of 2016 season.  We were greeted with smiles and friendliness even though all the computers had failed. The site was spotless and, on walking around, loved to see all the bird feeders hung about the site. Shower/toilet blocks were spotlessly clean and, thankfully, very warm. We will definitely be returning to this site and look forward to doing so.

End of Season!

We stayed here during the last few weeks of October 2015. The staff are very friendly, the toilet/shower blocks are clean & there is a great children's play area. The site is very popular & can get quite packed. We had a great time exploring the surrounding areas and we were fortunate with the weather too! :)

The best site we have stayed on!

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 young children. The site wardens were extremely friendly and helpful, the site was really lovely and the showers/toilets were modern and immaculate. We decided to go for a hard standing pitch but had a lovely grass area next to us for the children to play on. I cannot rate the facilities highly enough, spacious hot showers with loads of room to get dry, with hooks and a bench to sit on. Easy to get out and about to Honiton, Exmouth and Lyme Regis. We will definitely be back in the summer. We love it here. Great site and great staff. Thanks for a lovely stay.

One of the best.

We have just returned from Putts corner, and it has to be said I think this is probably up in the top 3 Caravan Club site we have stayed at, and we have stayed at a lot. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. The site facilities were spotless as was the whole site. We pitched at the top end of the site next to the top toilet block, this was closed but we were made aware of that when we arrived, the nice thing was that the water, waste, CP and dish washing facilities were still all working. The location of the site is great, easy to get down to the coast Sidmouth, Seaton, Beer, Branscombe, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth. Plenty of supermarkets in the area Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Aldi, And Waitrose. If you are prepared to venture a bit further away then the Blue Ball Inn at Sidford is great for food. Overall I would recommend this site to all. We will be back next year, Thank you to the onsite Wardens for a great break

My views of the site

First time here but hopefully won't be the last. On arrival was greeted very warmly and friendly with assistance from the warden to help site my van. offered a site very near the disability toilet which was gratefully accepted. Everything on the site was so clean and well maintained and we were always greeted cheerfully by the wardens. We cannot speak too highly of them. Only criticism which applies to all sites we have been on is the lack of a small table near the wash basin in the disability block. It would be very useful for people like myself who have a colostomy. Otherwise all else was perfect. Thank you wardens.

September Holiday

This was the third site that we stayed at during our September Holiday, and was one that we have used many times before, and as always the site is very well maintained the new toilet block is excellent. The area has many great places to see and enjoy, Sidmouth, Seaton, Budleigh Salterton, and Exmouth to name but a few. Even though you have to travel to see these places, the journeys are easy. We will definitely use the site again, and the wardens deserve a mention, as they are excellent. Only negative is the Wifi which should be improved.

We had a lovely stay at this woodland setting with plenty of pitch choice. The whole site was kept absolutely immaculate, so clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The washrooms and toilets were nice and warm and spotless and there were washing machines etc. in the facilities room. There are plenty of water points around the site and a nice dog walking area.Bird feeders were everywhere and topped up to encourage the birds which was a lovely touch. There is a nice pub called the Hare and Hound only five minutes walk away which is very good and dog friendly, they do a fantastic carvery which is very good value.I will definitely be returning to this site next year.I have been told that it is a picture in the Spring.

Putts Corner

Stayed for 5 nights at the end of September and enjoyed fantastic weather. Facilities on the site are excellent and were always clean. There was some traffic noise every morning from the adjacent roads from about 7.00am onwards but it wouldn't stop us using this site again. We were on a serviced pitch and would agree with a previous comment that they are a little tight - access would be difficult for larger caravans without a mover. It was our first visit to that part of Devon and thoroughly enjoyed it - we are already planning to visit again next year.
