First experience of caravan and motorhome club sites
This was our first experience of the club and we weren't disappointed. We only stayed one night and had a very warm welcome from the staff who also helped us 'newbies' sort out our electric hook up.
We were given an option of pitches with advice on the pros and cons of each and were pleased with the grass pitch on the same level as reception (other have commented on pitches sloping so we arrived armed with tyre wedges which were useful).
The pitches further up site may well suffer from vehicle noise on the A66 although they are well screened by mature trees.
Facilities are very modern and immaculately clean.
While there is little to do in walking distance of the site it would be a great base to visit the area or as an overnight stop while travelling through the country being so close to the A66 and A1.
