Well located site

We were surprised to read some other reviews of this site regarding traffic noise - what else would you expect from the location being easy to access from the A1 & A66. We didn't find the noise carried on all night and it hardly disturbed us at all. There were good views towards the Yorkshire Dales with an easy short car ride to Richmond. Facilities and the site were well kept and the warden couple were friendly and helpful. Although only a 2 night stop our stay at Hargill House served its purpose and we have no complaints whatsoever. Many thanks.

A good one night stand

We only stayed one night to break up a longer journey. The site was very clean and tidy.  As you would expect lashing of hot water for the showers we love the Caravan Club for it's consistency. Relief wardens were friendly and helpful. It would be a good place to base yourself for a few days. The road noise might put me off a longer stay but for us it served it's purpose fine. Thank you.

Mixed review!

We used this site to stop over on the way to Scotland. Lovely wardens, well kept site and good size pitches. Unfortunately we probably would not return because of the 24 hour road noise from the A66 meant we could not get a good nights sleep. Otherwise ideal stop off, easy to get to and a lovely farm shop for breakfast down the road!

At a Crossroads

We had two one night stopovers at this site mid April breaking our journey south and our return home. Situated at Scotch Corner on the junction of the A1 and the A66 this site can be noisy. But for us location is everything and far outweighs any noise factor. The site itself is compact, tidy and efficiently run by the warden team. Some of the facilities, especially the dishwashing area, are a bit tired and could do with refurbishment. But otherwise a tidy, handy wee site.

First visit Richmond House site

Just returned from a five day stay at Richmond Hargill site. Friendly and helpful staff, clean well maintained site. With great views of moors. Looking forward to our next visit.  Plenty of local walks and places to visit.

First stay at Hargill House

We have just returned from this site after just a 1 night stay due to collecting our new caravan. The wardens were really friendly and helpful and let us stay on a bit later the site is in a really nice location with nice views. We will return they had a issue with the hot water but got it sorted swiftly the site is next to a busy road but to be honest the noise is minimal when in the van.
