Our favourite site.

This site is a favourite of ours. The location is perfect if you love Yorkshire, as we do. The area has so much to offer, the coast, quaint villages, the moors, steam railway and so much more. The site is spacious and well landscaped and very well kept. As with all sites, it is quieter outside the school holidays. Overall it is highly recommended.

Excellent!

The site at West AYton was excellent. The site is immaculate with mostly hard standing pitches and plenty of room and we got to choose our pitch which was great. There is lots for children to do and there was a safe and friendly feel to the place. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Another cracking stay

Get to West Ayton quite often and I like what the site has to offer. Never disappoints and we always enjoy our stay. One concern I have, and it is not just West Ayton, it is children on bikes. I don't like them riding against the flow of traffic and when it is dusk can bikes please have lights on. I drive at 5 mph but there are plenty who don't.  Not anti-children by any means I just don't want to see anyone getting hurt. As Arnie say's, "I'll be back"

Fab. Site

This is a fab site well worth a visit. The wardens are extremely helpful and friendly and the site is well set out. The only down side was a fellow member who had no consideration for others - deciding to put an inflatable awning up at 7.30am. Obviously this does not reflect on the site and I would recommend it for anyone wishing to explore Scarborough and surrounding areas.

Great Site

We stayed here for a week in Easter & the site is well kept, lovely & clean, with nice, friendly wardens.  Good dog walking area, nice outdoor play area for kids & a games room with 2 pool tables (only fault I can give is, there should only be 1 pool table in games room to be able to take shots from all sides of the table, it was a bit annoying but in the grand scheme of things, not a big deal).  The site is in a great location for visiting York, Flamingo Land etc.  Also the site recommend Ye Olde Forge Valley Inn at the bottom of the hill, which is a dog friendly pub.  Reception gave us a voucher upon asking name of the pub & it has great food at even better prices.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at West Ayton & would definitely come again.

Holiday

We spent a week at this site and was impressed with how well it was maintained. The wardens were always helpful.

A really well kept CC site in a good location.

A really well kept CC site in a good location. A short walk to the village and bus stops to Scarborough, Helmsley or Pickering. A steep hill walking back from the village. Staff helpful and courteous, facilities well kept and clean. Please don't book this site as I want it all to myself :-)

Excellent site

We stayed for 3 nights on our way back home to Essex from Scotland. Great hard standing pitch size with excellent and spotlessly clean facilities. Powerful showers. We used the washing machine/dryer facilities. Huge dog walking area on site and very large activities field for the children including table tennis, pool, play area. Limited shop at reception for essentials such as papers, bread, milk, ice creams etc. They even have an outdoor dog shower which was great for our labradoodle, Ronnie, after swimming in the sea. I'm not sure Ronnie would agree, but we thought it was great!! Great location - shame we live so far away otherwise we'd definitely visit again.
