Highly Recommend

Relaxing site on the Deeside Way. Ideal for walking/cycling. Within a mile of the local town of Banchory with both Tesco and Morris ons within walking distance. Banchory is lovely with Cafe and pubs and unusual independent retailers. A lovely park which you can walk through to the town from the site. Taxi Rank in the town and one way journey £5. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend a stay.

Peaceful and picturesque

What a lovely site this is, very well kept with lovely lots of flowers and flowering bushes and hedges very eye pleasing and welcoming. It's next to a busy main road and as I am a light sleeper we pitched over on the riverside of the site and it wasn't a problem we couldn't hear the road only the lovely birdsong coming from a great variety of birds in the woods running behind the site. It has lovely walks two minutes walk down into the woods and the River Dee, what a beautiful river, there is also a footpath and cycle path, part of the national cycle network. You are close enough to walk to main supermarkets or if you prefer there is a bus stop just outside of site. Banchory itself has a good selection of shops and eating and drinking places, it also has a lovely park, we walked in via the river path which you have to leave at one point to go up into the town, but you can get back down if you want to. If you have dogs I would give the Falls of Feugh café/restaurant a miss, you have to sit in their front area right on the main road as they have no admittance to dogs at all, not even to go through to the rear terrace overlooking the river. We loved Silverbank site and will definitely return, the staff are really friendly and work hard to keep up the standards on maybe a little dated site, but lovely all the same.

Holiday Break

This is a good site if you want peace and tranquillity. The area is very clean and tidy although never saw wardens doing much around site. 1st day on site the bins had only been emptied once and the following days the drains were only hosed with cold water even though there were scrubbing brushes on the trailer. On 1 occasion noticed that the toilets had only had a quick check and not the usual thorough wash & clean. The toilets could do with a complete revamp as they are getting a bit 'tired' looking. The site was very busy all week and there were several pitches with 'Red Cones' on them as they were unable to be used something I have never seen before. A few inconsiderate members travelling at well over the 5 mph recommended speed within site. Overall a fine site.

Lovely site

We had a lovely weekend at this site apart from the unseasonal snow storm. The wardens are friendly and helpful. The site is well kept and it's location is good. You can walk into Banchory, 30mins slow pace or catch a bus outside the site and if you go to the right tesco is a 5min walk. There is also a dog walk just outside. Would recommend

Great site.........BUT!!!

Had a great weekend, wardens very nice never stoped working. The only bugbear or worry as this is a family site the number of cars speeding round the site. We watched some cars come into the site just for a nosey disregarding the speed limit of 5 miles per hour and leaving the site. Surely there should be a barrier entry system to stop this happening, this is an accident waiting to happen.

Nice site and quiet location

We stayed here for one night last week. Weather was reasonable, so that was a good start. This is a nice site. Easy to find, adjacent to main road at the east end of the town, near to the Tesco and Morrisons Supermarkets. Really nice welcome when we booked in and were able to pick a pitch that suited us. Site is nice and flat and the facilities / toilets and showers are good. We walked into town and back, along the river. Really good walk and good for kids and dogs. Probably a half hour or so to walk (each way). A good park for kids as you get to edge of town centre. It was a Sunday afternoon, so town was quiet and the shops were all closing, but would be a nice town to have a couple of day in. Even though next to main road, was pretty quiet. Would definately come back.

Come here regularly but this time found site looking tired 3 spaces out of action due to problems with electrics we were told, female toilet block 1 sink out of order, shower temp gauge fell off, tiles looking tired, actual dog mess not cleaned up which was such a shame as we've never seen this be a problem before plus cars parked on grass next to hardstanding which again is a shame seems some people didn't know the simple rules or that it is now accepted practice. Since this is the start of the season hopefully things will be rectified and we hope the club may look at renewing toilet block facilities and perhaps more prominent notices ref dog mess and parking especially as this is a frequented by families.

Well worth a visit !!! A very relaxing, pleasant, well run site.

Been planning to visit Silverbank site for some time, and my wife and I finally made in April this year. A very pleasant - well laid out site. Wardens very pleasant and helpful - particularly in helping me get my wifi setup on my laptop-(I'm not exactly a whizz kid with all that stuff !! ) Toilets could do with upgrading - but have no doubt may be in the Caravan and Motorhome's Club's plans for the future - they cant all be done at the same time. However very clean and well looked after - and that is the main thing. Only other negative - arrived at 12 noon, and because other caravaners did too - was a bit of congestion on the busy main road resulting in a queue of traffic. Maybe some thought to improving the entrance to avoid this. However - overall a very nice site to have a holiday on and would certainly return. A credit to the Club and the Wardens.
