Lovely site

Super site in glorious grounds with lots of areas for dog walking. Very helpful staff with good knowledge of the surrounding area. Very clean and tidy around caravans (cannot talk of the toilet block as I use my own caravan facilities). If you require good television signal keep away from the serviced pitches and the pitches at the bottom of the site. M4 is a constant low noise level hum, not intrusive at all.

First caravan holiday in years

I was aware of the campsite and the location which was the priority reason for booking. The site is exceptionally clean and well presented. The facilities were great and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The fact that the site adjoins a large open park and National trust property is a bonus so when my grandchildren came to see us we had a full day without leaving the area!

Tredegar House Club Site

Very easy site to access as it is near to the M4. A very well  laid out site with good landscaping and immaculate facilities and very friendly and helpful wardens. Unfortunately the washing up area is very small with only 2 sinks, so had to queue most nights, and it is also very narrow and cramped. There is a fair amount of road noise, although I must admit we soon got used to it. It is easy to get to Newport and Cardiff by bus, the stops are just a short walk away. Tredegar House is well worth a visit, there are 90 acres of grounds to walk around as well as the gardens. We would certainly go back there, especially to visit Cardiff again.

6th Visit - Addicted !

As 6th time visitors it seemed high time a review was left ! We adore this site. It is so easy to get to access being so close to the M4 ( we don't even notice the hum of the traffic, but if you are prone to noise intolerance of this kind, maybe go elsewhere ) The wardens are always friendly and welcoming, the site and it's pretty landscaping always looks immaculate and the toilet block and all facilities are always in pristine condition. The Caravan Club Wifi here is good enough to pick up e mails and do a bit of browsing, but is not up to streaming or downloading on the whole. It's a perfect site for dogs as they have for their back garden all the grounds of Tredegar House, so no need to leave the site to exercise them. All the usual supermarkets and shops are within easy reach, there is a chip shop and an Asda store within 10 minutes walk and a very good Vet Surgery at the local Pets at Home Store. Can't wait to get back there, hopefully in a few weeks time as it is a wonderful spot whatever the season or weather.

Attractive site set in corner of open Parkland

Just returned from 2 nights stay at Tredegar to meet friends from Swansea. It's an attractive and sheltered site, neat clean & tidy with mature trees, shrubs and hedges.  A thank you for a lovely welcome from helpful wardens, and a wonderfully warm shower block!   Yes we could hear a hum from M4, but maybe as we were pitched on the lower level it was not at all intrusive. Access to the park is just by the site entrance.  Here we saw a children's playground & the park has vast open spaces, for playing & picnics, a beautiful lake &  the whole area has a well prepared & marked 'walk' around it. (I used my little folding bike to exercise my energetic dog!) Our stay was far too short.... So we will be back!

Very nice site but traffic noise

Very easy site to access as a night stop over from Devon into Wales. Very pretty setting, helpful wardens & immaculate toilet block. Presumably part of Tredegar House estate, so mature trees and scenic entrance past stately home. Walk to the local pub very little effort and the food & staff were good. However, traffic noise bothers me, and we could still hear the motorway inside the Motorhome, so I wouldn't have wanted to stay for more than a stopover. No hesitation in returning for that though.

Nice Site in a Good Location

This is a nice site, in a sloping corner of the grounds of Tredegar House. Though close to the motorway and a handy stop en-route to or from Pembrokeshire the site has only a faint hum from the traffic and the immediate surroundings are very pleasant. Plenty of scope for walks around the park and Newport itself has some interesting historic sights. Friendly, helpful staff, clean facilities.

Friendly, helpful staff, a warm, relatively spacious shower block, convenient location and splendid surroundings all make this a good place to stay - thank you!

Great for the dog

Really nice site. We booked for the ease of access to Cardiff and had no idea of the lovely park around the site, the weather was good so morning and evening walks with the dog were very good. The National Trust house was a bit disappointing but the gardens good and as members is was free so worth a visit as could walk in after booking onto site. The facilities were good and clean. Nice layout that made it feel very spacious.

Still excellent site.

This was our third visit and we were not disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff with spotless toilet/shower block. The nearby park is brilliant for your 4legged friends and pleasant for an evening stroll. There is traffic noise from the M4 and local road but it does get ignored and doesn't become a nuisance. Definitely use this venue again.
