The wardens worked extremely hard at keeping the grass and grounds looking nice and fresh.
Also the wardens kept the younger children very safe and looked after them. They were very welcoming and friendly.

A fantastic location with the friendliest managing team met thus far. Wonderful for all lake land facilities in and around Keswick. Great views if you get the right pitch and fabulous fish & chips Tuesday and Friday!
Great Location
Perfect site for the North Lakes which we prefer, need transport to get to the better walks, shall definately return.
Excellent location near Keswick
We stayed here for 5 nights in our MH in late May-16. It is an ideal location for seeing the area and walking but we were glad we'd taken a car too. Site facilities are perfectly good enough. We were bothered by a dog yapping next door before 7am but hardly the fault of the site management. I suspect we'll be back.

Great location
We've just returned from 2 weeks on this site, and had a fantastic stay. It's very easy to access, very peaceful and quiet and the wardens were welcoming and friendly. We chose to stay on a serviced pitch, but when we visit here again will opt for a standard one - the service pitches are very hard underneath and difficult to get awning pegs into (I understand it's because they used to have static caravans on them!) and the views from these pitches are less impressive. Very good site for those of us with dogs as there is plenty of space for walking them. We went to the area primarily for walking, and found plenty of good challenging walks nearby, but all required you to drive and park. Commenting on other reviews we'd read before going, we'd agree that the toilet blocks are a little dated but were always clean, and we didn't find the nearby activity centre at all noisy! Overall, a very good site and we'll definitely return.
Recent Stay
We stayed for the first time last weekend, great site, nice and quiet, though the toilet blocks do need updating, no Wi-Fi which in todays world is a must.
Dog walking was nice and easy, straight out into a forest road.
The garden areas were well kept and looked very good.
I think we will be staying again.
Great Site
Brilliant location not far off of the A66, the wardens were friendly and welcoming, the views are amazing my only complaint is that the toilet/shower facilities are a bit dated and in urgent need of an update, they are very clean but the toilets do not flush very well
Back Again
Have just spent 3 days here with good weather (just a little rain)! It's been many years since we were last here but this time we could see the hills. We found the layout of the site unhelpful with dead ends, rather a lot of purple pegs that are not marked on the site plan, so had to go in and out of the site a number of times due to the one-way system. The roads are very narrow so manoeuvring round the site requires a great deal of care. The loo blocks are clean but very old and need updating to Caravan Club Standard.
Very good location
First visit to this site but won't be our last. Stayed on the serviced pitch right at the top of the site and although they don't have the best views it was lovely and peaceful. Booked to stay again in June and we are going to try the standard pitch to get the better views. Wonderful dog walks out the back of the site on the forestry roads. Only a short drive to Penrith or Keswick. You will need strong ROCK pegs if you are putting up an awning! Overall a great site.
perfect
Superb site in every respect including the visiting fish and chip van.
