Returned after an eight year gap (as no longer open November and December) to a warm and friendly welcome. Service pitch well designed and easy to use. Pitch no 42 was about 100 metres from service point and washrooms and had good enough TV reception via Status aerial although there is a booster available. The site is very well tended and very well positioned for both Ullswater, Keswick and Penrith. It is however unacceptable that the site has no wifi connection - connectivity is available throughout the Canadian Rockies so why not the Lake District Fells? Interestingly several Open Reach vans were seen extolling the virtues of Fibre Broadband. So perhaps it will not be long!
