Decided to book a short break in the lakes before putting our caravan into hibernation for the winter. We have been to Troutbeck Head several times but this is the first visit since the refurb. The toilet blocks have been done to a good standard and there are more hard standing pitches. Its a shame the drying room has been removed as we have previously found this useful to dry out our boots and jackets after walking in wet weather. We had a fabulous view of Blencathra from our pitch. Like the site as it is well located for Ullswater and Derwent Water and is easily accessed, Fish and chip van visits Tuesday and Friday evenings.
