Our second holiday in our caravan

This was our second holiday in our caravan, as newbies I could not recommend this site highly enough. The site was immaculate the wardens so friendly & helpful. As a young family with two girls aged 9 & 3. The site is ideal with a great play ground for both, a field to play on & ideal for them both to scooter till there hearts content. The toddler bathroom was excellent as anyone can imagine trying to shower a 3 year old is not easy & this took the stress out of it. As adults we found the site relaxing, other caravaners were very friendly & very helpful & eager to help.  The park & ride is literally 3 miles down the road and highly recommended £5.80 for 2 adults children free. A lot cheaper & less hassle than parking in York. I would highly recommend this site.

First class

We try and visit this site at least twice a year, and have done so for several years, we arrived at Beechwood on Tuesday 26th May. What a breath of fresh air.... The site looked amazing with a new information shed, and picnic area, but the best is yet to come...what a great welcome, I would say to you at the caravan club, what a great team you have here, throughout our few days the wardens have been active around the site, and have always found time for an "Hello" Yes the toilets are getting tired and need a bit if love, but the showers are fine with plenty of hot water. If your soon to visit, I'm jealous because this is a wonderful site in a great location, and now with great wardens. Well done.

first visit to york

We have been caravanning for 4 years but had never been to york so we booked into beechwood grange. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly staff and a very clean and tidy site with good size pitches. The onsite shop is well stocked with the essentials and a small building with lots of local poi's and pub menus were handy, toilet block was very clean but a bit dated. A great situted site just 10 mins from york city centre or if you want to adventure into the dales thats not far either. The only thing that let it down for us were the people staying on site no one really wanted to talk or even acknowledge you, the only thing i can put it down to is mine and my girlfriends age 34 and 31. I know caravanning is an older persons hobby but i have been doing it since i was little and now we have our own van we like to explore we just wish the older caravanners would  stop looking at us like we should'nt be there.

fantastic wardens - welcoming and helpful

We stayed only one night in transit and found the wardens to be the most welcoming, friendly and helpful as any we have met. What a difference it makes to any visit. If only all wardens could take the same approach and be such a credit to the Club.

Great place

Just returned from 6 nights at this site , it's beautiful , quiet , just what we needed to relax . The weather wasn't very kind to us it rained nearly every day . The the day we came home the sun was shining , such is life . Will defiantly be back . Short drive to York if you wish , we just filled the fridge and relaxed off course the hubby had plenty of beer to keep him happy . Wardens at this site are very friendly . Carntbebotheritus wait to go back , it's only an hour away so will be back very soon

Great Stay.

Just returned from a four night stay at Beechwood, site was kept immaculate throughout our stay, As dog owners we loved the enclosed field for the dogs, The kids facilities looked just as good, lots of little footpaths eliminated the usual pitchcrossers weve had at other sites. Ideally located for York and the surrounding villages. Our only complaint would be not being able to walk out of the site with the dogs due to the shared drive with the Studfarm, maybes a separate footpath could be made? Met some great neighbours during our stay too, will visit again soon.

Beechwood

Had a great stay despite the weather good site for children and very clean. Had difficulty setting up our TV could not get a signal, within 10 mins of asking at the office about TV reception Trevor the warden came to the van and made every effort to get us connected, when unable to do so produced a external aerial which worked fine and left it with us for the duration of our stay, no TV and a six year old granddaughter didn't bear thinking about

Easter2015 at Beechwood

We stayed for 4nights &your grand daughters joined us for 3nights. There was often a queue in the evening for dish washing facilities so perhaps an additional sink or 2 would be a good idea. The pitches were well spaced, with grass around and we were spared sitting facing next doors car which is the case on some sites. Large play field as well as swings, climbing frame etc. Large field for dogs. Excellent shopping & park &a ride nearby.

Great Site

We stayed at Beechwood for a week over Easter, and we thought it to be a lovely site. For anyone with dogs there is a massive dog area and it is all secure, also a very large play area for children. And for people with bikes the cycle lane start's at the end of the drive and goes the three miles into York. And I.M.O York is one of the best places in the country for cycle lanes. Great site and four very helpful wardens

EXCELLENT SITE

Just returned from a short Easter break. The site is excellent - one of the best Caravan Club sites we've stayed on. Wardens were pleasant and very helpful. Pitches are well spread out, the majority being hardstandings. The site is well situated for York and to visit the moors and coast. Directions to the site from the end of the dual carriageway are incorrect as it says to turn left at the second roundabout with traffic lights when in fact the lights are at the first roundabout. This needs updating.
