Easter break

Had a short break here over Easter, brilliant weather made it very enjoyable.  Wardens very pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful.  Site lovely and peaceful, unless you count the horses neighing next door!  Pitches seem very well spaced out and the site is very convenient for central York (park and ride close by is excellent) and the surrounding countryside has lots to offer.  Very easy driveway so much less hassle than getting in to its closest neighbour, Rowntree Park.

Lovely site, lovely helpful staff too!

We have just returned, after spending the Easter weekend at the site. This is about the fifth time we have stayed and it always makes us want to return! It's clean and well looked after, with lovely clean facilities and the most helpful staff- thankyou! We arrived to find our kitchen tap had burst from the winter frost-water was spilling out everywhere! Anyway, the warden came straight away, advised us as to what had happened and organised a plumber man to come the next morning! We were very grateful! It was all repaired and we had hot running water by 9.15am the next day! The site is situated in a prime position with the retail outlets nearby and a short drive into York! We love it! We also had a meal at the nearby Toby cavery pub-just up the road- it was delicious! We have teenage children, therefore we don't use the park-however, it looked great for children! The dog walk is ideal too! We had a lovely break yet again and will always return! Thankyou!

Lovely Site but directopns!!!!!!!!!!

Had a lovely 4 day break here in late March. Site staff very helpful and friendly and facilities impeccable. For the first time ever we had difficulty finding the site............I think someone needs to review the directions. The dog walk was fine and the area given over for ball games etc for children was very generous and away from campers to save any disgruntled campers. Just a shame you can't walk your dog up th driveway as in better weather we would want to walk to the local pub but this wouldn't be possible as we have an elderly dog and the extra walk might prove too much. Still an A1 site though

Wardens

We have just returned home from this site and are posting for the first time. We had a great break at York beechwood in spite of adverse weather. I write in praise of the wardens on site during our stay from 28 th march to 2nd April they were extremely helpful in every way. They were out on site at 5 30 am following an extremely powerful storm and gale force winds to check on the electricity situation and the safety of the campers. The electricity was down however everything was done to ensure power was back on as soon as possible. The wardens were extremely family friendly and this has not been the experience on every site. I would definitely recommend this site to other families and again praise the wardens for their assistance during our stay.

Lovely Site

Upon arrival the lady in reception warmly welcomed us and helped us settle in very easily. The reception office has a supply of the basics, bread milk etc. Our children settled in well and spent hours playing in the designated childrens play area. We walked our dog in the dog walking area and he met and played with lots of other friendly and sociable dogs. The site was immaculate throughout. My mobile is connected to the 3 network and I had a good 3G signal, so I had no need to link to the onsite WiFi. The site is very close to a Toby Carvery, a breakfast buffet at £3.99 (there was no need to take the cadac) and a short drive to the park and ride at Monks Cross. Essential for a trip into York http://yorkparkandride.co.uk/monkscross.php

We will definately be returning to this site. Credit to the staff for keeping the place looking tip top Happy

Beechwood Grange Caravan club site

We have stayed on this site several times, and like all club sites it is beautifully laid out with immaculate facilities. Within driving distance of the Park and Ride into York. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a small selection of essentials in the office, ie milk, eggs etc. Morning papers can be ordered daily. All in all a lovely experience.

Convenient location and pleasant site

Although the site is situated close to ring road the noise is not too intrusive and it is bordered by farmland. The location means that other places to visit can soon be reached, apart from York itself. If you visit the Designer Outlet centre it is worth having a look at Nayburn lock and marina which is close by. There is a cafe with a river view.I found the wardens at Beechwood to be very friendly and helpful.

Will go again

The site is close to where we live so we hadn't visited this site previously but we'll definitely go again.  The site is convenient for York and also for walking on the Howardian Hills. We found the wardens to be very friendly and welcoming, and as they were not busy they allowed us to stay on  the site until 3pm on the day we were due to leave.

The usual great standards!

Helpful, friendly staff, who opened up a few minutes early for us upon our arrival. Nice site, road noise in the distance but not a problem. Best pressure showers of all the club site's I have visited. Great for Monks Cross P & R and York itself. Can't go wrong.
