Great overnight stop

used this site a few times now for over night stop heading south and also heading north back to the ferry, not far from the main road, comfort plus pitches are ideal as just plug in the water/waste and power. Restaurante Avenida over the bridge is a must for dinner saves cooking and cheaper than campsite prices for a meal. campsite prices for the bar are very reasonable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. toilet block and showers clean and modern. only used the pool once a little chilly in July, but not too much trouble getting in, didn't sit around the pool much as there were a few mozzies. little shop doesn't have much in the way of supplies, water bread cold fridge with wine and ice. Definitely worth a visit

Convenient for Tordesillas and Santander

We spent two nights here before heading off for Santander and home. As we had an early evening ferry, there was plenty of time to make the150 mile journey. The site was fairly quiet (late March) and as we arrived early afternoon we had a good choice of pitch, with electricity and water adjacent. Some of the pitches need a very long lead, so we were lucky. The lady in Reception spoke good English and was very helpful. The toilet block was modern, well-apponted and very clean but we had a disappointing meal in the restaurant. We found the wifi reasonably priced but the signal was not always as good as it might have been. The interesting citadel of Tordesillas, which is well worth a visit, is a short walk across an ancient bridge over the River Duero. There are also walks starting from near the site which can be found in a leaflet (in English!) at Reception. An ideal last (or, indeed, first) stop in Spain and certainly good for a stay of a couple of nights.

Super stop off

En route to Portugal, easy to find site with plenty of room and good access for our fifth wheel rig. Superb shower block, tons of hot water and very clean - didn't mind the classical music either!! For the sadly afflicted like myself there was even an ironing board... Good laundry once you realise you have to buy a token from reception to use the machine. Great coffee and small shop, did not eat there. Eduardo, the owner, speaks 6 languages, exceptional English. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Walkable to town, shame the site could not be on the river front. Very peaceful, only noises were geese and church bells! Would definitely use again.

A very nice campsite

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Nice emplacements, very pleasant swimming pool, copious quantities of hoses to water plots, friendly staff and welcome classical music in the toilet blocks! They made a mistake with our booking and had to downgrade our emplacement (which was still excellent) but instead gave us a complimentary meal in their restaurant, which was superb! Would recommend anyone to come here. A little noisy perhaps due to proximity to main roads but this didn't worry us.

Great overnight stop

We stopped overnight on the way to Portugal. After a long drive, it was pleasantly restful, by the river and lovely bridge , with the sound of the weir. Decent sized grassy pitch. Good service from staff and a pleasant meal.

Great place (Stayed 9 nights)

We stayed here for 8 nights (4 on the way South and 4 on the return North). Whilst there we toured the area and visited Salamanca, Segovia (Visit the Alkazar) etc. If you drive and like History, visit Puras (Roman Villa). Nice site, easy to find and reasonable access around the site. Pool was clean and had a nice setting. WiFi worked well. Try the Restaurant, food is very good and well priced. Staff are very helpful.

Good Site for Stopover or Longer Stay

Stayed here 2 years ago and gave the site a good review. Nothing has changed. Sanitary facilities although busy are good and clean. Pitches are pleasant with grass and shade. Used the pool and the restaurant this time and was impressed by both. (Although second time in the pool there was a snake. Captured by pool attendant but half an hour later it was back.) Good bus services from the bus garage in town.

Great place to stay and look round the area

This site is easy to find and about 180 miles (Easy drive) from Santandar/ Bilboa. It is located such that a 50m drive enables Segovia, Valladolid, Salamanca and many other places to be visited. The pitches are large and the site quiet (we had 4 nights there in early June and plan to return there for 4 nights later in the month). The restaurant, and bar are fine with local free free WiFi. Staff are cheerful and helpful.   Loved it, will return in the Future

A pleasant three night stop

Very welcoming and helpful.Nicely laid out site with good clean facilities by the river. However very much a one night stop over for travellers to and from Portugal.Short walking distance to lovely town of Tordesillas over bridge. Five, ten minutes walk to bus station for bus to Valladolid. Well worth a visit. Handy restaurant on site. Cycling routes available from reception.
