Opportunity missed!

Unfortunately we only booked this site for 1 night as a stopover before catching ferry at St Malo. What a mistake. This has got to be one of the best sites we have ever visited. Pitches are spacious and well kept with individual water to each pitch, ours backed onto woodland and was very peaceful at night even though it was almost next to the main facilities (pool, bar, restaurant). Toilet/shower blocks are very clean and tastefully decorated. Didn't try the restaurant so can't comment on this, but overall the facilities on this site are excellent for families and couples alike. We will be returning and staying longer. Highly recommended.

Brilliant Site

A lovely very friendly site. The site was full in June only a few odd pitches free. Good size pitches with water and drainage.  A true 5 star with a lot of up dates this year. The facilities were fantastic the best I have come across, wet rooms, plenty of everything, used by both sexes, loo paper and soap, cleaned twice a day at least. Bread ordered the day before collected at 8 am and sometimes hot! A beautiful swimming pool at 27 degrees, plenty of sun beds, about 5 sun shades. Considering how full the site was sometimes only 4 people using it a bit busy after 4pm. Husband swam in his swim shorts not a lot of rules quite easy going. A good restaurant and bar. Takeaway Pizza Hut. Lots for children to do. Lots to visit in the area. We will be back next year. The BEST of the BEST.

Gem of a site

We stayed here for 3 nights on our way back from the Vendee en route for St Malo. The site is situated in the grounds of a chateau and is one of the cleanest sites we have ever been on. The pitches are very large, all with 16amp hook up, water tap and grey waste disposal point. The toilet emptying spot is down by reception so it is a rather long walk if you use one of the more remote pitches. Watch for sticky deposits from the trees if it rains. I had to wash to car as it was covered in this glue like substance. The on site facilities are second to none. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The take away pizzas are great and should be tried. The toilet blocks must be cleaned twice at least and perhaps 3 times a day. They were spotless. When we arrived we parked up and went to look at pitches as the site was quite busy. There seems to be a lot of Channel Island registrations on site. Just take care about the trees and the tracking of the sun. Wifi was great some days and non existent others. It is free. Shopping is around 6 kilometres away and the fuel is very cheap. Overall this site really deserves its 5 star rating. I would have no hesitation in recommending this as a first site in France or a stop off for St Malo. The route to the ferry port is well signed. You can leave the site at 7.00am and the trip to St Malo takes 40 minutes. There are sites nearer to St Malo for ferry catchers but given the relatively stress free drive into St Malo we would choose this site again. Congratulations to the staff and owner for producing such an excellent site.

Excellent family site

Stayed for over a week and it is very handy for a break pre or post the ferry from St Malo (25 miles) or for much longer stay. Good pitches with water, drainage and electricity 10+amps. Wifi generally very good and free. Care needed for satellite TV as trees may be a problem on some pitches. Toilets and showers all modern and very clean as cleaned twice a day. Excellent washing up facilities and 2 washing machines and dryers water always very hot. Swimming pool large and separate toddlers pools. All v clean. Small well equipped gym and games room. Childrens outdoor play area incl trampoline and bouncy castle. All in good order. Cycle and BMX type track. Adjacent lake. Restaurant good, reasonably priced. Takeaway pizzas also available. Separate, well stocked bar with seating in and outside.Great for safe cycling and walkingas adjacent to a canal with superb tow paths. Shops incl supermarkets and fuel about 4-5 miles. Site generally very quite, busier at week-ends as large influx from Guernsey and Jersey. Hard to fault and one of the very best we have visited over 15 years. Should appeal to old and young alike.

Wonderfull site

Spent 5 nights at site in early June, could find no faults at all, site is very peaceful, clean tidy and the staff are very open and friendly. Its set in wonderful grounds, the surrounding area is fantastic and Paris is just a few miles away. Site facilities are top notch, restraint, take away, bar, heated pool, mini golf, so it goes on, also good area for bikes as canal is 300m from site. take my advice, try it, you will not regret
