Peace at Glen of Aherlow

If anyone would like a peaceful getaway, with scenic landscape, then this is certainly the place to go. Facilities are extremely good, and the warden was extremely helpful and friendly.

Gem ofa site. Superb site situated in a fantastic area.

'George' the owner most helpful and welcoming, nothing too much trouble, showed us where to pitch and what would be best for us. Kids would love the large safe play area (we didn't have and with us!!) Lovely little pub just down the road which again made us very welcome. Wish we had picked this as the last of the 3 booked in Ireland. Would certainly return if we ventured that way again. Thank you George. Excellent free, secure wifi. (takes more than one device) why can't CC sites provide this facility free???

Subperb site

Very well laid out site with more than six metres space between hard standing pitches and very good amenities in a very scenic area. Thoroughly recommend it. Wish all Caravan Club sites were more like this one.

Glen of Aherlow Site

A very good site where a warm welcome was received. Good for walking and a reasonable location for local towns and attractions. The showers were free, which is unusual in Ireland. The town of Tipperary is fairly close and well worth a visit.

Superb site

Site is very good for walking. The galtees are well worth exploring as we did.  Extremely clean and well appointed facilities. Plenty of hot water for showers and no coins needed. Good views of surrounding scenery from the site (in good weather). There are a couple of bike routes on quiet roads but these are not traffic free. The locals are quite quick drivers! We had a lovely 5 nights in a very quiet and peaceful setting full marks to the very friendly owners.

Bank Holiday Weekend

It was very busy here over the bank holiday week end but it's a very good site. The owner is very nice and friendly and accommodating. Lovely friendly site with good views and local walks. Only two showers though.

Fantastic site, great owners

Stayed here over Easter, was surprised how quiet it was. George and Caroline both helpful and welcoming. Was able to use late arrivals area as we'd arrived early. Superb views over the Galtee mountains, complete with a bit of snow on top for a few days. Excellent hardstand with electric, water and grey waste drain nearby. Clean facilities with nice hot showers. Site has wifi but not the fastest but maybe I'm spoilt at home. Be aware English TVs don't pick up picture due to decoding! Still read a book on Kindle instead ?? Highly recommended site as the location is good for longer days out in any direction.

A peaceful site with great views

We were here out of season at the end of September. The site was quite peaceful, there were a lot of caravans but most of them were on seasonal pitches. The pitch was hardstanding, but the grass was so waterlogged that we couldn't put our awning up. We didn't use the facilities much, but they were lovely and clean with plenty of hot water. The view of the Galtee mountains was fantastic. From the site we went to Tipperary (not very exciting at all), Cashel and Cahir, both of which were better. From here, we made the long but easy drive back to Dublin for the ferry.

Nice place

Small, and friendly, in an attractive setting. Noise did travel but people settled down early enough. Good fast free wi-fi. I do wish that there were privacy cubicles to supplement the showers and basins, which were clean and well maintained.
