Caravan and Motorhome Club reveals four of its best UK Club campsites for stargazing escapes

31/07/2026

St Just, Cornwall

Ahead of the annual Perseid meteor shower, the Caravan and Motorhome Club has revealed four standout UK Club campsites for stargazing escapes with prices starting from £40.20 per night.

From the mountains of Wales to the dramatic coastline of Northumberland, the selected Club Campsites offer holidaymakers the chance to enjoy some of the UK's most breathtaking nights under the stars.

Located close to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Brecon Beacons Club Campsite is well placed for exploring one of the UK's most renowned dark sky destinations. The national park's International Dark Sky Reserve status offers excellent views of stars, constellations and the Milky Way on clear nights, while days can be spent exploring mountain trails, cycling routes and nearby market towns. Prices start from £40.20 per night for two adults and occupying one pitch with an awning on 21 August 2026.

Set in the market town of Dulverton, Exmoor House Club Campsite provides easy access to Exmoor National Park, where low light pollution and expansive moorland create ideal conditions for stargazing. Away from the night sky, visitors can discover attractions including Tarr Steps, Wimbleball Lake and a network of walking routes across the national park. Prices start from £43.60 per night for two adults occupying one hardstanding pitch with an awning on 7 August 2026.

Overlooking the North Sea, the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and the River Tweed estuary, Berwick Seaview Club Campsite combines coastal scenery with access to some of England's darkest skies. Located within easy reach of Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, visitors can enjoy exceptional stargazing opportunities, with thousands of stars and the Milky Way often visible on clear nights. During the day, visitors can explore unspoilt beaches, coastal castles and landmarks including Holy Island and the Farne Islands. Prices start from £43.70 per night for two adults occupying one grass pitch with an awning on 24 August 2026.

Situated on the edge of the market town of Hawes, Hawes Club Campsite offers a peaceful base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The surrounding countryside's low levels of light pollution make it a fantastic spot for stargazing, while days can be spent discovering the area's walking trails, waterfalls and traditional Yorkshire villages. Prices start from £41.20 per night for two adults occupying one hardstanding pitch with an awning on 16 August 2026.

Whether planning a quiet countryside stay, a coastal weekend or a dedicated dark sky escape, the Club’s UK campsite network offers flexible, affordable and well-located breaks for those looking to reconnect with the great outdoors.
