The site is situated on the Romatische Strasse not far from the stunning old town of Wertheim, a must see with its castle, cobbled streets and beautiful german architecture. You can also take a dip in the fantastic municipal swimming pool adjoining the site which is free for campsite guests.

Azur Camping Wertheim is set on the banks of where the Main and Taub rivers meet, making it a perfect spot to idle the afternoon away watching the huge barges and boats go by.

Take a trip to Wertheim on one of the pleasant cycle and walking pathways direct from the site and enjoy a trip on one of the river pleasure boats.

Riverside site

Azur Camping Wertheim
Beautiful site with lovely riverside views. Very welcoming on arrival. Good pitch. Excellent toilet/showers. Nice hot showers. Clean washing machines, use the app. Lovely walk into Wertheim. Definitely recommend

Great location

Azur Camping Wertheim
Stayed at this site for 3 nights in July 23. Lovely flat pitch. Electric boxes are not easy to reach and you may need to lay cables across road. Great local pool a few hundred yards away with free access. Easy walk to town. Be aware reception is closed for two hours in the middle of the day. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours to get on pitch. Shops close by and Wertheim is an interesting town. Good clean toilet block.

Amazing place!

Azur Camping Wertheim
Spent 5 days here recently and had the most wonderful time. We didn’t have a river side pitch but we could see the river perfectly. Spent hours watching the boats go by. Peaceful tranquil gorgeous setting. Facilities immaculate, hot shower and clean toilets. Site well maintained and clean and well lit. Access to the most fantastic outdoor swimming pool is included and it’s 1 minute away. Lots of supermarkets close by. Wertheim and Miltenberg nearby and are beautiful towns to visit Can’t recommend this campsite highly enough. Will definitely return

Camping Azur Wertheim

Azur Camping Wertheim
This site is in a convenient location only a few miles off the autobahn network. The site facilities are generally good but the electrical hook ups are located centrally along the length of the site with none adjacent to the riverview pitches. 45m of cable was needed to reach my nearest! Although I had booked a river view pitch, I was asked to pay a supplement for this on arrival. After a little discussion on this it was conceded. Be careful that you don't pay twice. The riverside towns of Wertheim and Miltenburg are well worth spending some time in and river trips are available if required.

Watch the boats go by

Azur Camping Wertheim
Probably a good place to stop for a couple of nights if travelling further afield such as Austria or Switzerland. River front location is nice for watching ships but not for using the river for leisure activities due to river traffic and cleanliness of water. Site is easily accessed and it’s staff are very helpful ( speaking good English ). If a river pitch is booked an extension cable is essential, always worth asking on arrival if your initial request to the club has been declined for a river pitch as there may be one available on arrival ( €7 a night additional charge ).Site has easy access to footpath and cycle way into a pretty town with lots to see and do. The nearby hymmer world and designer outlet are great for a shopping trip on a rainy day . It’s a piece full site but there is road, train and boat noise which you are positioned in the middle of. There’s a bar and restaurant onsite which is reasonably priced and access to the swimming pool next door is free and fantastic. Washing machine is tiny and €5, the recently modernised toilet block is fantastic however the other block is dated but fair play as they tell you that upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay there and would go back but only for a shorter stay.
