Nice site, good pool area, reasonable wash blocks

Gutshof
Stayed here for a few nights heading south, whilst everything was ok, nothing was outstanding but rather just ok. We had a fair bit of rain which doesn’t help when appraising a site, but most things about the site were fine. The shop is barely adequate so don’t rely on it, restaurant is very good but you need to book. Lake Bodensee is a fair cycle away, probably 30-40 minutes. I guess in a nutshell it’s a nice site but it won’t blow you away.

Rather crowded for us

Gutshof
We stayed for 3 nights from 10 June 2022 to 13 June and the site was extremely busy. We had previously stayed in 2018 and found that the site has now changed and has many more permanent pitches plus we were able to have a fully serviced pitch at that time, but the Club is no longer able to offer this. There were a great number of children and bikes whizzing about everywhere so when leaving and entering the site, great care needs to be taken. One of the shower/blocks has been updated, but the one near the entrance certainly needs attention. No internet was available, only by sitting near reception, hence there were many people crowded round there. Excellent Italian restaurant onsite which we used and found the service to be superb. We would probably not stay again due to the change to the emphasis to permanent pitches.

Excellent site in a lovely area if you like walking and Cycling,

Gutshof
The site is within easy reach of Lake Constance by cycle tracks in 30 min. The site is in an excellent location is you like Walking and Cycling. We spent 8 nights here in September and enjoyed it very much. The facilities are lovely and clean, although you do have to pay for showers and electricity in addition to the site fees, but for the type of site it is we do not object and you can always use your own facilities if you prefer. The little village of Limnau is within easy walking and has 2 nice restaurants. The bread van calls every morning as the shop was closed because of Covid. There is a lovely swimming pool on site.

very expensive!

Gutshof

We arrived at the site at the end of May and the only facility that was available was the bar and restaurant, albeit the food was very good. The pool was still empty, I should imagine it would take a week to fill! The whole week we were there the shop didn’t open. The site is a 30 minute drive down to the lake,we were under the impression we would be able to cycle to it. The site was the most expensive we were on for the whole of our 3 month trip but they also charge for electricity and showers. We do have a double axel van but even so the electricity bill was euros 40 for the week, I was a little shocked. On the plus side we had a lovely big pitch, the cycle paths in the area are excellent.

Comment from the Site:

The campsite is 9kms from Lake Constance and so its possible to drive in 10 minutes and by cycle paths 30 minutes. The swimming pool is opened at the end of May depending on the weather and closes at the beginning of September. The shop will be open more hours in 2020. We have one price all year and 10 reduction in low season.

Perfect location

Gutshof
A wonderful site, being ideal for families. Helpful staff, massive pitches and an idyllic location. Beautifully located and surrounded by Hop fields. Great for those who cycle or walk. Close by to some wonderful sites, including Liechtenstein, Austria and Switzerland. Lake Constance is awesome to say the least! Will definitely go back to the same site.
