Why stay here ...

The site is set high up in the Bayerischer Wald National Park and driving up to Lackenhäuser, you feel like you are leaving the busy world behind. The  pitches are set on grassy terraces which give you a view of the rolling hills below. 

This site is perfect if you want to put your feet up and open your book and relax for a few days before heading off to new busy destinations. It is situated on the border of Austria and Czechoslovakia so ideal for a peaceful stopover. 

On site there is a lovely all year round heated pool included in the pitch price and a natural spring open air pool in the summer. There is an on site restaurant and shop with fresh bread and a bowling alley and sauna room open all year. There is a forest playground for children and donkeys and goats to feed. In the summer months try your hand at Archery with lessons to improve your skills.

During the winter months the site has direct access to a cross country ski run and its only mini ski lift. During the summer, there are hiking trails recognised by the German hiking association such as the 2000 kms long Goldsteig trail and Nordic walking trails leaving from nearby Neureichenau with different levels of difficulty.
