Friday evening – welcome drinks reception. Saturday – Free to explore Bridgnorth. Set on the banks of the River Severn and just a short stroll from the charming market town of Bridgnorth, Riverside Caravan Park offers a perfect mix of riverside relaxation and historic discovery. Bridgnorth is a town of two halves – quite literally! The River Severn divides it into the High Town and Low Town, linked by the famous Bridgnorth Cliff Railway, Britain's oldest inland electric funicular. Take a ride to the top for stunning views across the valley and a wander through the cobbled streets lined with independent shops, cafes, and traditional pubs. History lovers will enjoy Bridgnorth Castle, with its remarkable leaning tower, and the Severn Valley Railway, where you can step back in time aboard a steam train through the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Nearby, explore Daniels Mill, a fully working watermill steeped in history, or head out to Dudmaston Hall and Estate, a National Trust treasure surrounded by woodland walks and lakes. For a breath of fresh air, Stanmore Country Park offers lovely walking trails and wildlife spotting opportunities. The sites provided are well located but may be basic, so be prepared to use all your on board facilities. Check you have sufficient gas with you, and remember that electric hook-ups may not always be available.
