Jervaulx Abbey, a ruined Cistercian Abbey, is open to the public, and the tea room offers refreshments. It's a serene and enchanting place to visit. Situated close to the towns of Masham and Leyburn. There are excellent walks directly from the site. Take the children to the Forbidden Corner, visit the chocolate factory at Leyburn, or indulge yourself at the Brymor Ice Cream parlour.
