Welcome to Summertree Farm. Our CL is situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors just 2 miles south of the charming village of Thornton Le Dale. The CL is off a quiet lane in a 1.3 acre level grass paddock with beautiful views. We are open throughout the year and we welcome adults, children and dogs. Please note that dogs must be kept on a lead while on site. Electrical hook-ups are on all pitches and are located on the far side of the field to provide a tranquil setting and to maximise the views of the moors and the Dalby Forrest. The nearest Pub, the New Inn at Thornton Le Dale is just 2 miles up the road; they serve good food, provide a warm welcome and you can take your dog in the bar too! Thornton has a wide range of quality shops including: Post Office/News Agents, Bakery, Butchers, Cafe, Gift Shop, Gallery, Antiques and The Chocolate Factory - yum!
Our CL provides a perfect base for couples or families looking to explore North Yorkshire and the pretty villages dotted around the North Yorkshire Moors. As well as picturesque Thornton-le-Dale, a few miles away there is the North Yorkshire Moors Railway based in the attractive market town of Pickering (market day is Monday), Flamingo Land, Eden Camp the live WW2 Museum near to Malton, Dalby Forest and the Moors for breathtaking walks or bike rides. Castle Howard is a must visit along with Rievaulx Abbey at Helmsley. The delightful walled-city of York and the breath-taking coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey are only about a 25 minute drive or train ride away. Alternatively you could just park-up, kick off your shoes and open a nice bottle of wine whilst enjoying the views!

A little gem.
Summertree Farm
Just got back fromva 5 night stay,it was lovely,Bob came to greet us on arrival what a lovely man so friendly and helpful,a great character. The field is beautifully kept,even striped with the mower.Beautiful views.The sat nav tells you your there but keep going on and round a bend you will see the site on the left.Take the road wide as you enter the gates once in your fine toilet and washing sink on the right next to the house.It is 10amp so set your van to 1kw so you won't trip it.You can take a waste pipe for your grey waste and run it into the hedgers.Across the road is a farmers gate to exercise your dog.The field is level so easy to set up.Thornton le Dale is 5 minutes down the road.We really enjoyed our stay, so easy to find off the A64,we will definitely be back, thanks Bob and his lovely wife Bernadette .

Summertree Farm
Great communications, an excellently maintained CL with attention to detail. Optional hard standing for a couple of units in winter weather. A fine example of how good a CL can be!
Excellent site
Summertree Farm
Really enjoyed our three night stay at this lovely site. Very warm welcome and introduction to site. Well maintained field with plenty of space between pitches, electric hook up available, fresh drinking water, toilet, excellent recycling and waste disposal. Very peaceful too. Great location for exploring. Can highly recommend.
A Gem of a CL
Summertree Farm
Just spent 6 nights at Summertree Farm. What an amazing relaxing CL site. The grass paddock is level and the grass is kept so short. A Big Thank You to Bob & Bernadette for running such a beautiful Site. We will return to enjoy this site many many times.
A Wonderful Holiday
Summertree Farm
We spent a wonderful 12 days at Summertree Farm in August of this year. Bernadette and Bob are such lovely hosts on this CL, we were greeted like old friends returning on our arrival and the rest of our holiday followed in much the same vein even though we were new to the CL, the site is kept to such a high standard and nothing is too much for them, their knowledge of the area is superb. We certainly had a great holiday and will most definitely be returning again. Thank you both for a lovely time on your CL. Love to Jasper the Collie dog too.
