Chrishall Grange CL is found on the outskirts of the hamlet of Chrishall Grange but is completely unimpacted by it. Nearby is IWM Duxford, a unique experience for war historians and children alike.
The CL is part of an arable/livestock farm near the historic town of Royston and is in what was a WW2 camp built by the USAAF in 1943 as accommodation for some of their personnel who were based at RAF Duxford during WW2.
The pitching area is located in the edge of an open copse, provides privacy and security in equal measure whilst at the same time campers can enjoy expansive views across the vast Cambridgeshire countryside.
The attractive site is suitable for dogs on leads and is within 10 minutes drive from M&S/Aldi and Tesco Express (with car charging facilities). To be aware, sometimes sheep will graze on a separate part of the paddock.
The pitching area is some 800m from the road and accessible by a single dedicated track with passing places mid-point. Priority should be given to cars accessing the site to avoid the possibility of any impact on the local road network at point of entry.
Bordering Essex, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, North Herts is dotted with pretty villages and historic churches and well connected to A1(M), A10, M11 and A14 for ease of access and exploring the many attractions the area has to offer. A station at Royston takes you in the direction of either London or Cambridge. Hitchin, Saffron Walden or Cambridge are easy drives away.
The site is a 5-minute drive from the Imperial War Museum at Duxford with the Duford Air Displays being a calendar highlight locally.
For peace and quiet or accessibility to many national tourist attractions, either on your doorstep or further afield, Chrishall Grange CL will not be found wanting
