Excellent C L

Netherhall
Just returned from a very peaceful 5 night stay here. Lovely ladies run the site; very friendly and helpful. We were fascinated by the history of Netherhall - in some ways quite a romantic feel to the place and the stable yard is fantastic. Easy walk to more historic buildings in Maryport. We enjoyed walking the promenade reading about the Roman Emperors, watching the fish sales on the harbour and coffee, cake and ice cream in Wrights Coffee Co. on Senhouse Street. We would definitely return here. Thank you

Eccentrically charming and quirky.

Netherhall
We stayed for a week and realised it’s not long enough. So much to see and do or just chill in the lovely grounds watching the trees and flowers whilst catching a glimpse of the resident owls. Quirky facilities but all working well. For fresh fish lovers, there is no fishmonger in the town, go to the aquarium in the harbour to get the day and time of the fishing boat arrival and buy direct from the boat. This CL is definitely listed as a return for us. Thank you Eileen and Ann who made us feel most welcome

Bargain!!

Netherhall
We stayed here on Friday and Saturday 22nd and 23rd April and what a bargain, only £10 per night and that included hook up. We were met by a lady who helps out. She directed us to where to park and as it was a fair distance from the hookup, she loaned as a long cable. Also within easy walking to Maryport. Highly recommend this site...

Impressed

Netherhall
Site is in grounds of old manor house, very well kept with open aspect. Site area surrounded by rhododendrons and trees. Site is within walking distance of Maryport town. Very friendly people running the site. Our first visit but would definitely go again. Exception value for money😊

Short stay

Netherhall
We visited this absolute gem of a site for a 2 night break. It has to be Cumbria's best kept secret! Quiet surroundings with woods and gardens and a very warm welcome from Eileen who gave us the history of the place. Facilities are basic but well worth the £9 a night we paid. Water and EHU are available, no shower and only a single toilet, recycling bins and grey and black waste disposal. An easy 10 minute walk into town where we had the best fish and chips by the harbour. A previous review has mentioned dogs but apart from our own we didn't see or hear any. We don't often go back to places but this is definitely on our return list
