Why stay here ...

A warm welcome is extended to caravanners, campervan and motorhome owners to come and stay on our site, relax and to visit our lovely area. Our 2.5 acre lawned site is located just outside the small village of Laithes, away from main roads. All our pitches are level and have access to electric hook ups and stunning views over open countryside, woodland and fells. A local pub in Newton Reigny is just a 15 minute walk away, with a lovely beer garden next to the river. Next to the pub there is also a hairdressing salon and a small shop that sells local produce.

The sunsets over Blencathra are breathtaking and are well worth looking out for. Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, we are an ideal base for touring, walking and cycling. Our site is ideal for those wishing to break their journey going to, or coming from Scotland and for those wishing a lengthy stay to appreciate our beautiful area.

Town End Cottage CL is located in the beautiful Eden Valley. We are 3 miles from the attractive town of Penrith, with its array of local shops and within easy access of the Lake District, including Ullswater (20 minutes away). Carlisle to the north is located 15 miles away and Keswick to the west, the same distance. Caldbeck and the Northern fells are just 11 miles away.There are a wide variety of local attractions, to suit all tastes. Walking, water sports, National Trust properties and woodlands. Hutton in the Forest House and Gardens are close by, just 2.5 miles away, as is Greystoke Castle. Greystoke also has a lovely outdoor heated swimming pool.The coast is not too far away either, with Silloth, Allonby and St Bees all having popular beaches and we are within easy access to Hadrians Wall.
