Why stay here ...

Julian welcomes you to Nutley Farm which he re-opened in 2021 and is situated in the Winfrith Heath nature reserve, approximately 1 mile from the village of Winfrith Newburgh and 5 miles from the Spectacular World Heritage Coastline famous for Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

The site is surrounded by heathland and the nature reserve is spectacular for walking and bird watching.

Nutley Farm is a small holding and has 3 holiday cottages and our wonderful friendly animals which include horses, reindeer, alpacs, sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks. You are welcome to wonder around and see the animals.

Nutley Farm CL site is a secluded, sheltered, quiet field and is a dog friendly site. We have a private foot path leading directly to the health. This is a site for people who want to enjoy the beauty of the countryside and get away from it all!

All pitches have electric hook up, drinking water, rubbish disposal, recycling and a chemical waste tank are provided.

We have two local pubs within a mile and an award winning village shop located in the village with its own bakery.

A potentially ideal site for the Isle of Purbeck area

Nutley Farm
A simple attempt to get ehu working ended with the owner suggesting we should leave after just settling in with my disabled wife and a patently faulty and dangerous connection and unsigned as such. Not a friendly way to treat any new client. Sorry to say this. We were made to apologise for his behaviour before demanding payment in full to avoid an impossible situation late in the day. Don’t cross this owner. We will not be returning. We left after just half our 8 day stay as it affected us so badly. This ruined our stay.

Quiet site

Nutley Farm
We stayed on this site in April for 2 weeks. The site is quiet, the little road along the hedge behind the site is not very busy. It was a good place to stay to explore the area and being able to use the footpath onto the heath was a bonus. We had a couple of problems, the first being the ground, it was like a wet sponge due to the heavy rain in early April and it didn’t dry out at all. We nearly got stuck on arrival and other caravanners with 2 wheel drive did get stuck. The other problem is that the pitches aren't numbered and due to a lot of water pipes and electric lead being draped along the hedge, it was quite confusing working out where to go. Apart from those 2 niggles we enjoyed our stay.

Great site

Nutley Farm
We have stayed here for eight nights but it wasn't enough, there is so much to do in this area. The owner tried to accommodate us for longer but it wasn't possible. The site is quite remote from the main roads through the area so was totally silent and totally dark at night. It has good security behind electronic gates. The field is flat meadow turf and enclosed by hedges on three sides so is sheltered. Facilities are ehu plus water hook up and drainage into the hedge with the elsan/rubbish area in one corner (recycling). There are two resident turkeys that are sometimes a bit too friendly but funny. There are walks direct from the site onto open moorland and two pubs within a mile. It has self catering accommodation. The location is perfect for touring the area with many tourist spots within a short drive. Price at time of stay was £19 per night. The only disappointment was not being able to stay for longer and strangely that was caused by the owner having his own caravan stored on site which he hired out as a self catering unit. This resulted in only being able to take four caravans as his own van was part of the rule of five.. The site was full and we found the crowd who were on site were one of the friendliest bunches we’ve ever met on a cl. I don't recommend sites but I will say I wouldn't hesitate to use this site again. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Price at time of visit (17th June) £19

Lovely quiet countryside location

Nutley Farm
Lovely CL in the heart of Dorset. Electric and water available on all pitches. Drainage into the hedge. No showers or toilets, so own facilities essential. Lots of lovely animals on the farm, including reindeer, alpacas, turkeys, houses and sheep. Close to the wonderful Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Weymouth, Wareham, and other Jurassic Coast delights. Very fairly priced, really relaxed atmosphere. Just turn up and grab a pitch. Julian the owner wanders around and says hello.
