Lovely site, great hosts

Southside
We stayed for a week in July as I work local to the site and my wife, being a teaching assistant, was on holiday. The CL is a lovely little site and the hosts were very accomodating. There is a small amount of noise coming from the M25 nearby but it is barely noticable. Great walks available from the site and only a 5-10 drive from Lakeside. Will be going back next year to do the same.

Relative

Southside
Was down visiting relatives in Rainham for an anniversary. Site very handy, nice walk in wooded area, can go further but you would need code to gate at rear, which site owner will provide.. Hum of traffic from M25, but I live near a railway line so I'm used to a bit of noise. Very tranquil, peaceful site, (despite being near M25), site owners lovely and the pony in the paddock was sweet. Also there was a book shed, so I came away with one or two books. Entry is a bit tight but I got Betty (the Motorhome) to breath in, there are EHU and water, also an Elsan. All in all an enjoyable stop over. Would use again.

Good CL - would recommend

Southside
We stayed for 2 nights in June 2019 while attending a function at the local golf course (location of CL was great). Communication with owner was good and access narrow but not a problem. There are 5 grass pitches with EHU in the field at the back, and room for 2 hard standing gravel pitches near small paddock. Owner prefers you to use grass pitches when weather allows. There is access to a fresh water tap near the paddock, and access to a chemical toilet disposal near the access. Although there is a local bus stop, we used Uber to get to golf course and had no problem booking due to proximity to Romford / London. Would recommend and reuse again.

Cracking stop over to visit London

Southside
We stayed here for 3 nights and will definitely be back. There is a bus stop outside for access to Upminster where you can get the train or tube into London. Although you can hear the constant rumble from the M25 it did not really bother us as it was continuous so you kind of got used to it. There is a cracking pub on the outskirts of Upminster, The Jobbers Rest, which does good food and is only a six minutes drive away.

Very helpful owner and ideal location

Southside
My wife and I have used this site several times both as a stop off before going down to Dover on our way to France and also for visiting relations and friends around the location. We have found the owners most helpful each time and the site itself considering it's close proximity to the M25 is remarkably quiet apart from what has been mentioned on other reviews as a slight traffic hum. The site is secure with a coded lock on the gate. Romford and Brentwood are just a few miles away with their respective shopping areas. We have had no problems there each time we have stayed there and hope to stay there again later this year.
