Coachfield
We had some family business in this part of Kent a week ago and usually stay in one of those standard 'budget' hotels, which are never much good. On this occasion we just happened to see this CL on the Club website for this area. Knowing the area we booked it for four nights and happened to be the first to do so, the site having just been established. In preceding weeks the weather had been very bad across the country, with extensive flooding, etc. Mrs Arnold (the owner) assured us that the ground was neither flooded nor muddy before we arrived. This CL is in a unique location with regard to its rural, agricultural setting yet in close proximity to major commercial and historical attractions in North West Kent and London, plus good transport links. The site is grass, mostly level, well-drained and secure with an all-round aspect. The pitches each have an electricity hook up and a drinking water tap. TV signal is very good. There is a first-class, private shower room/WC for Members, with an efficient chemical disposal point and grey water disposal set within a hardstanding. Several local stores and major supermarkets (and public transport links) are within easy reach and a well-stocked farm shop adjoining a pub/restaurant are a few hundred yards away via a public footpath. In fact, there are many public footpaths close to the site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return, everything you could need is close by (and a Spitfire flies overhead once in a while as a bonus).
