Campervan 2 night stay

Earls Hall Farm
Good site, facilities OK but not the best, though all functional. Plenty of space on site. Nice and quiet. Good spot for getting out and about. I cycled over to Mersea Island via Point Clear and the small foot ferry. Only operates I think during spring / summer months, but great little ferry. Was only there a couple of nights so didn't need to use local shops etc but noticed there was plenty about. I paid over the phone with card, good value. Would use again if I was in the area.

Helpful Farmers!

Earls Hall Farm
Stayed here for 4 nights in September. Booked over the telephone and was told the fee is now £14 per night - still very good value. The site is situated off a very busy B road - but far enough away so as to not hear the traffic. Notices at the water point informed us how we were to pay and a number to ring should we have problems. We deposited our payment in an envelope and posted it through the front door of the house as instructed. The only time we had any interaction with anyone on the farm was when my husband's drone decided to go haywire and deposit itself in the weeping willow. After climbing the tree to no avail my husband asked one of the farmers for help. A cherry picker was brought into the equation - but alas the drone was out of reach! Undaunted the farmer said he would be back after lunch, and true to his word he reappeared later with a ladder and some poles and the drone was - eventually - retrieved to the delight of my husband as it was his retirement gift. Good cycling as usual for us. My neighbour at home had recommended Brightlingsea to us - so we cycled there using the back roads as much as possible - but alas - not much to see. Other cycling excursions included cycling to Point Clear via St Osyth and on the next day cycling down to Jaywick where we joined the NCR 150 and cycled all the way to Walton on the Naze. The Naze Tower is worth the cllimb - with fantastic views. A lovely coastal ride, but cycled back in land. There's a great little butchers in St Osyth - and Clacton is only a couple of miles down the road - and was easy to cycle to when we needed to buy some new brake pads for my bike. The village of Great Bentley is also worth a visit - lovely village green with some interesting village history.

NICE SIMPLE SITE

Earls Hall Farm
We really enjoyed our stay at Earls hall farm - a small field, with simple and basic facilities, drinking water, waste disposal and bins. The site was so quiet and peaceful. With an easy drive into Clacton or Jaywick. Great for the dog too. TV reception was excellent. We really enjoyed being left to our own devices and liked how simple the site was.

Stay here when we visit family

Earls Hall Farm
We have stayed here several times over the last 2/3 years when we visit family in the area. Site is basic but you have all the things you need. Beaches & shops etc not the far away. The owners keep there distance & most of the time you never see them. Just phone them when you are ready to leave to pay.
