Lovely stay

This is a lovely CL set in beautiful countryside well away from any traffic. Plenty of room for each pitch and gets the sun all day in the spring/summer. Didn't see the owners but went to the house to pay and they seemed friendly enough. Other people on the site said they just left everyone to get on with it themselves but were lovely people and not obtrusive unless you needed help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

A Heavenly Spot

The approach to this site is down a long private lane through the wheat fields so it turned out to be the ultimate in peace and quiet. The site is beautifully kept although the toilet facilities, which are obviously provided for the farm workers, are a bit basic. It was a joy to walk the dog as there is no traffic close to the site and the views are amazing. The village shop is very friendly and has all the necessaries and we had a great meal in The Village Maid where we were able to use the free wifi. This site is a perfect stop for the ferries at Harwich and Mr Whitworth is charming and helpful without being obtrusive.

Lovely site for a few days of peace & quiet.

A great site to stay for a few nights to chill out & recharge your batteries. Basic facilities, not a problem when you have your own in the caravan. Excellent value for money, with elec included. Only five pitches so, well spaced out. Wrabness Nature Reserve & Flatford Mill are well worth a visit from here.

A good, no-nonsense CL

Handy for Harwich and the seaside resorts of Clacton and Frinton. Easy to find although I recommend approaching on the shorter access road as there is limited passing space. Two hard standing pitches on 'wasteland' with water point and ehu points. Grass pitches offer several options on where to pitch and most are flat. Toilet is best described as a traditional 'netty' in an outside building [we had to take our own toilet paper]. Pleasant owners who let you enjoy your time. Plenty of wildlife on site, especially birds.
