This is a rural site with the opportunity to view a range of wildlife in the surrounding area. It is easily accessed and peaceful. There are a number of footpaths from the site. It is located close to Southport and Ormskirk where there are weekly street markets on Thursday/ Saturday. It is possible to take a bus to either Southport or Liverpool (bus stop 1 mile from site). The Leeds to Liverpool canal is 1/2 mile away where there is a restaurant and public house.
