Why stay here ...
Haxby Road Farm is in a perfect location on the north side of York city. We are located about 2.5 miles away from the historic sights of the city centre, with a bus stop outside the site with regular services running to York.
If you prefer the countryside you can be in picturesque open fields within 2 minutes of walking, using the numerous bridleways and footpaths in the local vicinity. Access to the Ebor way and the river Foss is about half a mile across the field.
The site offers a variety of options for you to discover during your stay. Whether that be staying local and enjoying the location or visiting some of the highlights of North Yorkshire, such as Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Dalby Forest and so on which are easily accessible and less than an hour away.
Less than 5 minutes away, we have Clifton Moor, Monks Cross and Vangarde Park, with a cinema, bowling, golf, climbing and swimming. York City Football Stadium is a 5 minute drive, or a 10 minute bike ride away. Here you will find lots of restaurants to refuel after your visit.
Locally we are on a safe pavement to the local town of Haxby. Across the bridle path is a friendly village pub and down the road is a high quality, authentic Indian restaurant.
Dogs won't get bored here, we are spoiled with numerous walks and places to explore. The pub is dog friendly too!
We live in the house close by and one of us is usually about if you have any questions. We also have alternative accommodation, if you fancy something different.

great location
Haxby Road Farm
friendly owners and very helpful. the site provides easy access to York City centre and the surrounding area of North Yorkshire. Stayed here for 5 nights and as I have a dog, found easy-to-access walks and a nice route via a public path alongside River Floss into York (about 3 miles). Bus on the way back, runs late meaning a full day can be planned knowing getting home is no problem. The area is quiet and the site is easy to find off the main by-pass. Shops, cafe and chip shop not too far away and a pub, following a 1/2 mile walk across field paths, offering decent beer. All in all a useful addition to York accommodation options.

Lovely stay
Haxby Road Farm
Enjoyed our stay at this lovely new site. Nice welcome from owners. Great for dog walking. Easy access to York bus stops nearby. Definitely a site to come back to
New CL with great access to York
Haxby Road Farm
We stayed with friends on this new Cl for 5 nights in mid September and can highly recommend it.
The owners Laurie and Andrea were very welcoming and let us choose where we set up … there is a choice of hard standing and grass pitches so good for caravans, campers and motor homes.
The site is well situated for visiting York and surrounding villages as there are bus stops on the road running past the gate. We made good use of our free bus passes!!
There is some road noise but I can honestly say it didn’t bother us and was more than compensated for by the proximity of the public transport.
We will definitely use the site again .. it would be a great base for Christmas markets and shopping in York. Laurie and Andrea also have Airbnb properties adjacent to the site so great for non caravanning families to stay together.
Thanks for a great stay …we will be back!

Well organised CL with great access to York
Haxby Road Farm
A lovely, well equipped CL that is very well run, with frequent buses to York city centre nearby. Surrounded by trees in an area of fields and school playing fields. Friendly welcome.

New CL , well worth a visit
Haxby Road Farm
We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of September in our motorhome. The site is excellent with a good bus service into York from outside the site entrance.
The owners, Laurence and Andrea were really helpful and made us feel welcome. Pubs within walking distance and a really good Indian restaurant in Haxby.
We have recommended the site to our friends and we will definitely be back - Jayne and Andrew
