Naseby is a small village in Northamptonshire and offers visitors the ideal location to enjoy a rural getaway.
Set on a hill, Naseby has played a key role in British history and was the site of the famous Battle of Naseby in 1645, during the English Civil War. History buffs may want to visit the actual moor where King Charles I eventually lost to Thomas Fairfax, the third Lord Fairfax of Cameron.
Nowadays, the village has plenty to offer including the Royal Oak public house. Based on the high street, the pub serves traditional English meals and is a great place to relax.
