A warm welcome awaits you at Buttercup Meadows, our CL site is a peaceful 1.5 acre meadow situated on the borders of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire on the edge of the village and right next to a small river where you can relax and unwind.

The caravan park is ideal for those who enjoy a slow wander in rolling agricultural countryside. It is also a 2.5 mile walk across the fields to Kelmarsh Hall, which has an excellent tea room and walled garden to explore as well as hosting many major events throughout the year.
In the centre of Clipston village there is a beautiful school building that was established in 1667 and has been a school ever since. The famous Naseby battlefield is neighbouring the village too. There are many nearby walks offering stunning views over Northamptonshire and Leicestershire to the North.
Nearby activities include an off-roading centre, a gliding club, horse riding, golf, day boat hire, cycle hire at Pitsford Reservouir, Foxton Locks, Triangular Lodge and upmarket shopping in Market Harborough. All within a 10 minute drive.
The service point will provide fresh water, waste water disposal and toilet waste emptying facilities. The dog exercise area has a 4 foot perimeter fence as does the camping area.

lovely CL
Buttercup Meadow
Stayed at this site recently to cycle in the area and it was ideal for us. Quite a small area but ample room for 5 vans, peaceful and quiet, views over fields and a friendly welcome from the owner who presents all arrivals with delicious cupcakes. No EHU but water and waste disposal easy to access. Situated in a village - no local shop (nearest in East Farndon - an expensive "farm" shop and cafe) and no pub open whilst we were there though we gather it had just been taken over by new management. Access to the Brampton Valley cycle path, from Market Harborough to Northampton, is at the end of the lane, over the A508 and along a rather overgrown bridle path through a field - passable if walking with the bikes. You will definitely need lights for both tunnels on the cycle route. Also possible to cycle to Foxton Locks along the canal from Market Harborough and to the Pitsford reservoir near Brixworth. Recommend The Workhouse cafe in Brixworth for coffee, cake or bacon bap and we found Clipston eggs for sale in a shed along the lane to East Farndon. Be aware that if cycling to East Farndon it is a long hill to come back up - we were glad of our power assist.
Idyllic gem in the English countryside
Buttercup Meadow
This is a superb non electric CL. Countryside views in a peaceful setting. Jane is a very friendly host and extremely helpful. The site is very clean and tidy and Jane points out various places where you can go and sit in the shade on a warm day. Market Harborough is only a few miles away and well worth a visit. Many historic sites to visit around Naseby.
Everything a cl should be
Buttercup MeadowWe wanted a fairly local cl to try out some features on our new campervan. Thanks to Buttercup Meadow's excellent online booking system we were able to check availability and book last minute. We were met by the owner, Jane, who kindly opened the locked gate for us (we had already received the code by email) There is a level well mown field with no set pitches so we were able to park next to a hedge giving good shelter from the cool northeasterly. The tap is by the gate into a further field containing an information hut, the elsan point and bins. Another gate gives access to a well fenced dog exercise field. All around the site are pony paddocks and pleasing views. Best of all are the little touches showing the care and interest Jane the owner has in this gem of a site - the herb planter to pick your own m, the welcome sign and, unbelievably, her delicious homemade cup cakes in a gift box. The cl site is on the edge of a pretty and historic village with interesting paths and alleyways to explore. There is a community pub, sadly shut Mondays and Tuesdays when we visited. Across the lane from the site is the village recreation ground with a children's play area, outdoor gym, picnic area and woodland walk - perfect for our dog to work off some energy.

Who needs hook-up when you’ve got a solar panel on the roof? We even watched a bit of telly. Margaret Thatcher’s phrase: ‘Let them eat cake!’ took on a new meaning. Nice grassed site with views and a ten minute walk through the village, passing thatched cottages, to the Bull’s Head. Great cask ales and home cooked food - so good we went twice! Fab five mile walk from the CL to Kelmarsh Hall, and a walk from the famous Foxton Locks. Market Harborough is worth visiting too. Superb…
A gem of a site
Buttercup Meadow
What a great little site. A very warm welcome from Jane and Andrew, the homemade cupcakes were a lovely welcoming touch too. If you are happy to be off grid this is a fabulous relaxing site with lots of walks from site and many more nearby just a short drive away.
Our dogs were made to feel very welcome and having a secure area for them was a bonus. We will be back.
