Why stay here ...

The Fegg Farm CL is nestled in the heart of Shropshire on the beautiful Wenlock Edge and offers stunning views, it’s situated a short distance off the B4371 on a well maintained wide county lane. It is a working farm however it's usually very peaceful and we offer a lawn site with electric hook-up facilities, hard standing, trout fishing (300yds away) and lots of lovely walks within easy reach of the site. Children are welcome but need to be supervised, dogs by arrangement.

We are central to the beautiful historic market towns of Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth, Ludlow and Shrewsbury.  These lovely towns have much to offer including stunning walks and great places to eat, some of the highlights are the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games, Ludlow Castle and Food Festival, The Longmynd Hills, Severn Valley Steam railway and we are also a short distance from the world famous Ironbridge and gorge museums.

We enjoy meeting and look forward to welcoming past and present members and we are happy to make suggestions on what to do in the local area and recommend good eating places.

Wish all CLs were like this one.

The Fegg Farm
Just a lovely site, hardstandings on all pitches. A warm welcome from Victoria in our case but you'll get one from any one of both generations. Water tap on each pitch, Elson point clean and fenced off, recycling. Martin, the dad will fill you in with all that's going on. The must visit is Ryan's Butchers and Pie shop in Much Wenlock. If you use the post code be careful it is shared with a National Trust property a distance away. The owners have a 3 word finder, but travelling from Much Wenlock there is a small slip road off to the left look carefully for the CL sign its facing straight out from the turning. Good walks, loads of National Trust and English Heritages places close by. A great little site.

An unspoilt tranquil location

The Fegg Farm
This was the first site we ever stayed on before we even owned a motorhome, and this was the first time we'd been back. We were not disappointed. It's in such a lovely peaceful spot and we didn't move the van in the 3 days we were there, walking every day from the site. The owners couldn't be more helpful, even getting a tractor to pull us off when we got stuck on the grass. The village of Brockton is walking distance and has a pub which allegedly does delicious food but it's currently not open on a Monday or Tuesday. The pub on Wenlock Edge itself is, however and happy to just do a coffee. Beware if you turn right along the Shropshire Way as it is very muddy up to and around the farm.

Tranquil Site

The Fegg Farm
We have recently returned from a 5 week trip touring the UK in our motorhome. Fegg Farm was a lovely peaceful and relaxing site with sheep grazing in the adjacent fields. Access and recycling facilities were good.Beryl and Martin the owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Booked for 4 nights in September and ended up staying for 5. Thank you both very much. We will return.

Peace and quiet on Wenlock Edge

The Fegg Farm
This site is immaculate, with hard standings going down a gentle slope with the farmhouse at the bottom. The instructions are a bit misleading: don't take the first turning left off the farm road, which leads down to the farm, but the second one, which takes you straight into the site. Plentiful water taps beside every hookup. Beautiful views, and many attractive places to explore. Much Wenlock is a lovely town and the ruined Priory is well worth a visit. Ironbridge is the cradle of the Industrial revolution and offers a number of museums. Ten minutes' walk further along the farm road brings you to Wilderhope Manor, a perfectly preserved Elizabethan manor house. From there footpaths radiate in all directions. The waste disposal is the best I have ever seen: under cover, very clean, and at ground level so your grey water can go there too.

A gem in the Shropshire countryside

The Fegg Farm
First visit to Shropshire, no idea how we've managed to avoid it in 40+ years of caravanning. Loved this CL. The owners are welcoming, facilities excellent and there is virtually no traffic noise. As there are so many places to visit in the area we will have to return to complete our list. On our next visit I'll ensure that all 4 corner steadies are raised before moving off and ploughing a furrow, so sorry about that.......
