Woodland adventures

Quarry Walk
We chose this site as we were visiting Alton towers and it's only about four miles away and checking on Google maps found the caravan field was set in woodland with nothing immediately close to you.Checking in we were given our barrier fob(which there is a deposit to pay for) and then had a short woodland drive to the caravan field. we arrived to find level pitches with decent sized area's to manoeuvre. All service points were good and the site is good for a walk around the woodland without leaving the site. Our ee phone signal was a bit hit and miss but would definitely visit the site again if staying in the area..

Nice site but not peaceful.

Quarry Walk
Tight roads to site which would be poor to access in wet weather. Beautiful area and site looks promising when you book in. Welcoming staff in a good reception/shop. Bumpy single track to good sized caravan pitches with own taps. Surrounded by holiday lodges with kids from there playing around the caravan area and loud noise/music into the early hours. Nice dog walking areas but not as large as promised. Dogs supposed to be on leads at all times but some were allowed to run loose around the pitches. Left a day early due to inconsiderate/loud holidaymakers - staff didn’t appear bothered about the caravan area. Other CL sites nearby may be worth checking before this one.

Quarry Walk
Very disapointed with this CL. The drive down to the pitch is very rough and full of muddy potholes. The hardstanding is only a compacted mud patch. When it rained we were surrounded by large muddy puddles. Despite what the advert says that there is good television there is none. Even the parks own Wi Fi does not work on the CL. The toilet emptying point was filthy and looked as if it had not been cleaned for a long time. When I spoke to the staff in the office they did not want to know about caravanners and were most unhelpful.
