Why stay here ...

The site, which has been open for nearly 40 years, is situated to the west of the A140 with very good access. There is room to pull off the highway before driving through the wide gates onto the site from the road.

Thornham Parva is a small quiet hamlet of around 25 houses, and there is also a Grade 1 listed picturesque thatched church.

The site has electric hook ups, together with water and all the necessary waste disposal facilities. Free Wi-Fi. The site is level and lawned, friendly pet sheep graze nearby, but not on the site. Children and pets are always welcome. The site is open from 1 March to 31 October each year. Motorhomes and caravans catered for. There is plenty of space available for awnings and no extra charges for pets, awnings, extra vehicles, visitors, number of people, etc.

The site is situated in a beautiful part of Suffolk, with the historic market town of Eye just 2.5 miles to the east and close by are 12 miles of footpaths known as the Thornham Walks. The site is well situated to explore the surrounding area ie the coast, such as Southwold or Aldeburgh or to the west Thetford Forest, and is almost equal distance from Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Norwich. It is an ideal area for cycling. Leaflets are available on local attractions, walks, and cycle routes. The market town of Diss just across the county border in Norfolk has several large supermarkets and smaller retail outlets.

Fishing is available at a few locations, some less than a mile from the site, with a golf course within five miles.

There are several country pubs and restaurants in the locality, some within walking distance.

Children are welcome.

Should you choose to stay at the Tandem House Club CL, you will receive a warm and friendly welcome and can be assured of a very restful time.

Wonderful Christine!

Tandem House
This is a beautifully organized and extremely friendly site, owned and supervised by Christine. We were visiting a sick relative nearby and were is need of calm and serenity. We found it here. The site is clean and friendly and dog-friendly, overseen by two portly sheep, Good food and service at The Four Horseshoes. Visited Eye, which is charming, and has an Arts Centre and space. The Castle is amusing..

Wonderful CL everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Tandem House
This site is immaculately kept with everything you need for a wonderful relaxing stay The owner Mrs Moore is really helpful and friendly and took the time to show us where all the facilities were. Hand sanitizer stations have been provided all around the site, with neat Recycling bins and the amount of birds and wildlife around are fantastic to see. We loved the pet sheep who are beautifully cared for, who live in the next field, it’s amazing to see them relaxing nearby. We took a walk to a thatched church, which is very ancient and also to Thornham walks which you can park at all day for £2 and spend the day having a picnic or ( there’s also a cafe ) walking around the forest. We will definitely be returning as it’s such a beautiful site plus there’s so much to see in the area Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fabulous Site

Tandem House
This is a beautifully kept site set in the most peaceful area. There are superb local walks in the country and around Thornham Park which are very dog friendly. It is a short drive to Eye where you find lovely pubs, restaurants and shops. The site is run by the a very friendly and welcoming owner, Mrs Moore, she makes the most perfect host. Everything is about relaxing and enjoying yourself so there are no hard and fast rules. We went for a weekend away with friends and can't recommend this site enough. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Tandem House
Had a lovely 5 night break at this lovely quiet CL. Great area to visit many places. There are some great off road walks in the woods, fields and open spaces to walk dogs. We did 3 mile walks quite easily and so quiet. Great effort made by Christine the Cl is kept perfect and she is a lovely host.

A great place to stay.

Tandem House
We had a short mid week break here in May and were very impressed with the site and surroundings. Easy access, nice and quiet and a very friendly owner. Great for dog walking in the nearby Thornham Woods. Will definitely return!
