Very noisy from fields on 3 sides also being used for camping.

Cobnor House
In the field I was in there was 5 units. But, in the field to the left another 4-5, the big field to the right masses of people and porta loos, and the field below (pump field) there was one big van and a large group of youngsters. So it was far from quiet and peaceful which i was expecting. So if you book id ask if the other fields are in use. It felt / sounded like a big commercial site with kids playing, dogs barking, youngsters singing round their camp fire till very very late. The field to the left, which i understood from others is managed by the same people was fairly quiet. Never saw the owners at all during my 3 days. £15 a night but goes up in peak summer. Having dogs run round loose and up to my own tethered dogs wasn’t great either. So personally I wouldn’t return but 3 other units while I was there return on a regular basis and love it; although one said they had never known it to be so busy and noisy. I’m not sure if the adjoining fields are managed by the same people, I think the one on the left is but that was mainly quiet. The others weren’t so you need to check if you want peace and quiet. Others there seem to use the slipway and that makes great sense to stay at the location. There is a pleasant short walk and I did the 5 mile loop, but the main attraction is likely to watch the boats coming in and out.

Great find

Spent 2 nights so peaceful only birdsong all day. A short walk to beautiful estuary. Woodland walks or just a relaxing time spent highly recommended. May get busy in holiday time as acess to slipway and water sports.

Idyllic

Cobnor House
This is our favourite campsite. A hidden gem on the South Coast within easy access of Chichester and the South Downs. A walk through the woods takes you to a breathtaking view of the sea. Judy who runs the site could not be more gracious or helpful. The site is beautifully maintained by Mike.

A charming CL

You really can't get much closer to the harbour than this site! We were pretty much on our own for three nights and were very happy with it. Just a short walk to the harbour where we were able to launch our kayak (£3 fee to the owner payable with the site fee). We found locals were more than happy to share their knowledge of best kayak and walking routes. Yes, the site is basic - but we don't mind the rustic sites! We found it quiet and convenient. Great walks from the site and cycle routes too.
