Lovely peaceful site

Lower Tye Farm
Stayed here for 2 nights. We were the first to arrive so weren't sure where we could park up at first as the first time we have been to a CL site. Pitches were lovely and level, all with EHU (this is the only facility on site) I particularly liked the pitch by the peacock enclosure but didn't want my dogs to bark at them so chose somewhere else. Nice dog walk on site and short walk to local pub. Met Ann, the owner, who was welcoming and let us know where we could walk the dogs and directions to the pub. This is a working farm so not just a field but I personally liked that as not too close to any one. Overall a peaceful stay.

Walking Hayling

Lower Tye Farm
On arrival the site was full, no one was about, eventually we found a gentleman in the office who said he knew nothing about us coming, ( we had booked as advised). We were given a site and settled in. The loo appears to be used by two fields and a few passers by, including the local ambulance service. We paid £13 per night, and for this we got the facilities advertised on a grass standing. I don't know if the two hard standings were more expensive. The site looks run down and very tired, but the peacefulness more than made up for this. Walks from the site to the RSPB coastal walk and the beach. I don't think we would go back.

First trip out

Lower Tye Farm
We chose this site as it is only 30 minutes from home as it was our first time out in our caravan. We got a bit muddle & ended up parking in the field opposite where we should have been but the owners were fine about that. The field was tidy, the grass was cut with water easily available and plenty of electric hook ups. There is a big wheelie bin across the road by the farm house for rubbish. It was fairly peaceful as we were sited at the back of the field away from the small country road. The nearest pub is the Yew tree which is about 15 minutes walk away along the country road. The food was nice & reasonably priced. The beach is about 10 minutes drive away & there's a big Co-op a 6 minutes drive away. There is also a chip shop & Chinese take-away about 7 minutes drive away if you don't fancy cooking. We took our 4 year old staffie who enjoyed the space for a little run. We would definitely go back again.

Nearly very good

Lower Tye Farm
The site felt and looked a little bit tired which is a pity because it is very peaceful and it wouldn't take much effort to keep the grass trimmed and the services tidied up and provide a bin area for rubbish. It is a great location for a weekend away with long walks along the sea front and amenities about 2 miles away with no pressure to leave in a certain time and at £7 was great value.
