East Fortune Farm CL is delighted to be awarded a Regional Commendation for Scotland several times in the annual Caravan and Motorhome Club CL of the Year Awards. After being open for over 19 years we are a very popular CL and have many returning visitors.

Located only 25 miles from Edinburgh city centre and 5 miles from the popular coastal town of North Berwick with over 80 acres of working prime East Lothian farmland to walk around, our well maintained site is in a great position to pitch up.

The CL has a wide entrance area allowing you to pull off the main road before entering the site. The 5 well spaced hard standing pitches all face to the North with views across the countryside. The CL offers drinking water facilities at the top of the site with chemical, grey water disposal areas, bins and recycling all at the bottom next to the information hut which hosts local tourist information.

The site is securely fenced and there is plenty space for all our guests to enjoy the site. There is free WIFI for those who like to stay in touch and the nearest bus stop, found outside Merryhatton Garden Centre is just a ten minute walk from the site. Please note the main road outside the site although in the country is very busy at times and fast so care and attention is needed while walking to the bus stop. The nearest train station is 2 miles west of the CL site at Drem (only 26 mins into Edinburgh) and for train lovers the main London line runs parallel with the farm boundary so often old steam trains can be seen passing.

We have a small farm shop open 7 days selling East Fortune home-reared lamb, pork and free range hen eggs along with other local produce such as Dunbar Community Bakery sourdough breads, rolls, scones, Jarvis Pickle award winning pies, homemade jams and chutneys, Mellis from Edinburgh cheeses, milk, vegetables and lots more.

Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge and we have walkways around the farm for you and the family to enjoy with them.

East Lothian boasts a magnificent coastline of beaches, golf courses, enchanting villages, museums, galleries and historic attractions. From North Berwick harbour you can take a boat trip to the Bass Rock, seeing the puffins and seals en route or visit the award winning Scottish Sea Bird Centre. The National Museum of Flight is only a mile from East Fortune Farm and makes a great day out for the family. Walking down the Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace you can't help but feel the ambience of long ago. During August the famous Edinburgh Festival comes to town - music, art and drama are everywhere for the month and the city just buzzes.

Advanced booking is recommended during peak seasons. Pitch prices are for 2 people per pitch include connection to 16 amp electrical hook-up. Extra guests are charged at £1 per person per night over the age of six. There are no extra costs for awnings.

If a change in dates is needed pre-paid deposits can be transferable to other bookings but only within the same year. Once on site and pitch fees paid no refunds are given.

Please note own sanitation is required as there are no toilet blocks or showers on the farm currently. Laundry facilities are available on Station Park our other small private touring site.

The Brand Family look forward to welcoming you to East Fortune Farm.

Noisy site

East Fortune Farm
As commented by other reviews East fortune is a noisy site purley because the pitches are right next to a busy road. Allowing for havest time with the agricultural machjiney up and down the road it is also very busy with cars from about 6 in the morning until late eveing. This will prevent me from making a return visit. The site although fairly remote has some good attactions fairly close such as Dunbar North Berwick and the National flight museum is only a mile away which is well worth a visit. One other point to consider is the water supply is really poor so much so i decided to time it and it took over 9 minutes to fill the aquaroll. Communication is very efficient but also has a negative impact on setting the tone for your holiday / break. When filling in the questionare to submit it you have to agree to any damage caused to be deducted from the card which feels threatening. The facilities are basic so its hard to see what damage you could cause other than making mud on wet grass.

Lovely site but next to noisy road

East Fortune Farm
Well run site with hard standing. In a great location for North Berwick where you can get boat trips to Bass Rock and the Isle of May. Also close to Drem railway station which has free car parking and handy for trains into Edinburgh. Payment at farm shop which is well stocked for meat and veg which is handy. Site well maintained with lovely views over fields. Water pressure is very low so filling up is slow, but hey you're on holiday so no rush. Our only issue was the road noise which they obviously can do nothing about. The pitches are next to the road which is very busy during commuter times and surprisingly noisy.

Super Relaxing Site

East Fortune Farm
A well run site with with plenty of space for each caravan/motorhome. The views are good and I cannot fault anything. I was a little worried in advance, about the location, in relation to the Edinburgh - London main railway line but it was far enough away from the site and did not cause any noise problems. In fact, it was fun watching all the different coloured train coaches as they passed in the distance!! Call me sad....I'll accept it!! East Fortune is ideally placed for local towns. North Berwick, Dunbar and Haddington are all within a 10 mile radius and Edinburgh is a 25 minute train ride from the nearby local Drem Station. (Don't take your car into Edinburgh, it will be a disaster trying to park it. I say it as someone who is originally from there!!) There is a farm shop on site which is well stocked with local produce, eggs, vegetables etc., as well as other goodies. Altogether a super site. I shall be back.

Lovely well run site

East Fortune Farm
Stayed here for 3 nights July 2022, Well organised arrival. Emails and updates sent before arrival. Found the site easily. Found our pitch and went to the shop to check in. Lovely views from our caravan and walked around the grounds to find the hidden cabin. Beautiful site qell maintained and lots to do and see around. It is next to a busy road but this did not bother us. Will definatley be returning.

Best CL on the network

East Fortune Farm
We had 5 nights hear in early August and this is now my favourite site. The area is wonderful, beaches are superb and it is only a short drive to North Berwick which is a lovely little town on the beach with wonderful independent shops. The site itself is on a lovely farm with with the most fantastic farm shop and friendly family running it. There is a lovely walk around the farm and it’s close to the railway line, far enough away to admire the trains passing, without them being too noisy. Pitches are a decent size, with lots of room at the front for kids to run around. Views are lovely. Water pressure is low so it takes a while to full up the Aqua roll, but who cares, I’m on holiday, I’m not in a hurry. Can’t wait to return.
