Off the Beaten Track

Glan Gors Farm
The site is down a long, narrow single track with passing places. The pitches have EHU and are relatively flat. Water is by the entrance. The railway line to Holyhead runs by the site and the trains run from quite early in the morning to late evening. The view from the site is across files and on a clear day, to the mountains of Snowdonia. It was very quiet when we stayed, so our dog had free run of the field, which he loved. The walk to the Oyster Catcher pub and the beach is about 30 minutes across fields, through a farmyard and along the road and definitely worth a visit. I imagine that the path can get quite muddy when there has been rain, so take walking boots. It’s a further 20 minutes into Rhosneigr itself, which has a few cafes, a couple of shops and restaurants. Also worth a visit. There were two big negatives for me. 1. There was absolutely no phone signal or 4G connection on the site. (I am with EE)I know it’s nice to get away and switch off but sometimes, it is essential to be able to maintain contact with home. 2. The Anglesey Circuit racetrack is just across the fields from the site. The noise from the cars/bikes racing round the track, started before 8am on Sunday morning and went on most of the day. The noise actually woke me up and really shattered the peace and tranquility of the site. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and cut the grass just before we chose our pitch.

Good site and access to Rhosneigr.. plus amazing for flight path to RAF base

Glan Gors Farm
If you want a site with a range of RAF planes coming over the site descending towards the runway then this has to be your site.. we loved it and weren’t expecting it! The site was good although our plot could have had a grass cut prior to our arrival but perhaps others left as we then arrived. We stayed in July so had amazing weather. Great path into Rhosneigr and to the beach. Only criticism was the owner wanting payment upon arrival rather than let us set up first. It wasn’t a big issue but was annoying at the time. It’s also great when site owners drop by to see if all ok rather than just take the money. Some prefer to be left alone but we prefer just to be asked.

May Bank Holiday Stay

Glan Gors Farm
Never stayed on a CL site before so was a bit apprehensive with lack of facilities , we had no need to worry as we used all the facilities in our own caravan for the first time ! Been to Rhosneiger on several occasions but never stayed so far away from the village , but it’s only a 20 min stroll across the field to the Oyster Catcher , 5 mins by car ! Total peace and quiet on this site , our dogs didn’t really need to be on there leads , defiantly stay here agsin

Great Quite CL

Glan Gors Farm
Lovely quite cl great views, the beach and rosneigr are about 20-30mins walk, friendly owners and the dog (max). This site would suite dog owners, max the farm dog played with our boxer for hours. Local shop about 10mins walk. Site is on a large field with electric hook ups, no toilets or showers but most of us have got them in the caravan. site fairly level.
