A very warm welcome to Tan Y Ffordd Touring Park
Proprietors Karen and Al welcome you to Tan Y Ffordd Touring Park, a Certificated Site (CS) operating under the jurisdiction of the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
A small, privately owned touring park. Open all year and exclusively adults only.
With one large pitch (8m x 8m) and 4 super pitches (10m x 10m) on site. well spaced out for privacy. Level all weather hard standing and all fully serviced.
An adjoining level grass paddock is entirely for BBQ’s and picnics. For dog guests is a 2-acre secure connecting field designated purely for our four-legged friends to let off steam. And a dog spa on site too.
A countryside location situated 1.4 miles outside the village of Llangernyw, the home of the oldest tree in the UK. Nestled in an idyllic tranquil spot on a quiet country lane with unspoilt natural landscape and stunning country views. Allowing total privacy by a backdrop of high hedges, brings peace and serenity.
Gifting a slower, calm pace of life and unpolluted fresh air with an abundance of greenery and wildlife. Landscaped gardens throughout the site, thoughtfully designed creating a pleasing and private environment for our guests. Perfect for a relaxing stay to unwind, rest and ideal for a refreshing mental and physical break.
And equally suited for those pursuing energetic outdoor activities such as climbing, cycling, kayaking and sports for the thrill seekers.
Llangernyw offers something for everyone with connects to all major attractions including stunning beaches, castles and numerous places of interest to visit within easy reach.
And of course, we have plenty of local country pubs on the doorstep with home-made meals and a good selection of craft beers.
Popular with our guests are the spectacular sunsets and sensational clear night skies allowing for incredible flawless stargazing especially throughout the winter.
A major talking point at the park are the North Wales RAF jets training, who frequent this area a few times a week. Performing high-speed low-level training, practicing tactical manoeuvrings. Dramatic displays last for 10 minutes and are a must see.
For the nature lovers, wildlife is in abundance here. You will likely meet rabbits in the early morning and maybe the odd hare. Early riser’s may also catch the Heron doing his daily visit. And in the afternoons a female sparrowhawk comes looking for lunch. Every day we see many buzzards and kestrels and on occasions red kites. On clear nights you may see owls flying overhead or taking a rest on low fencing posts.
We have a small woodland on site with seating areas for picnics and a bird feeding station for guests to spot the 20 plus different species of songbirds. Along with a constant cool breeze, the woods are a welcome retreat in the summer heat and a big hit with our guests.
We would love you to visit our special little hideaway a great escape for couples and singles alike. Feel free to contact us by email or text if you have any questions.
We look forward to seeing you.
