Why stay here ...

Plas Newydd provides an ideal location to explore North Wales. Alison and Anthony will provide you with a warm welcome to their CL which possesses exceptional facilities with electrics, Satalite connection and a cold water tap on each of the five pitches. The site itself is located on the northern end of the Horse Shoe Pass and so is ideal for this who wish to visit the Llangollen Eistddfod. Ruthin, a historic market town and castle is a short drive away as is Snowdonia for those who enjoy the walks and views from the various mountains. Chester Zoo, ideal for the children is 40 minutes drive away. For the mountain bikers, the Llandegla Forest is a key location for those who enjoy this sport. Fishing and shooting centres are also close at hand.

The site requires members to use green elsan fluid. This can be purchased from the CL on arrival.

We now have a shower block with separate showers and toilets.

Immaculate site with great facilities

Plas Newydd
This was our first CL having recently joined the CAMC. Warm welcome from Alison the owner and had our pick of pitches. Site is maintained to a very high standard-shower & toilet facilities were spotlessly clean with lots of hot water. Stunning views facing and behind the site and very peaceful setting. A very minor road runs behind the site but we heard very few cars in the 5 days of our stay. The site is on a slight slope but it was easy to pitch our caravan and there are plenty of blocks provided if required. The owner’s attention to detail in all aspects of hygiene was second to none. Would highly recommend this site. Cheshire caravanner

First CL we have stayed on. Friendly and helpful welcome by Alison on arrival. Lovely shower block well designed with L shaped shower area. Site is very well maintained with EHU and water supply on each pitch. Very peaceful with wonderful views. Will definitely go back.

An immaculate site in a peaceful locality with excellent facilities and lots to see and do in the area

Plas Newydd
Plas Newydd is clearly a labour of love for Alison and Anthony - they are caravanners themselves and have put a lot of thought into designing and running the CL of their dreams. The CL is very well-maintained - it has a clean and modern toilet & shower block, plus electric hookups & water at each pitch. It is on a quiet hillside with green views and dark skies for star-gazing, yet close enough for day-trips to popular tourist destinations such as Llangollen, Snowdonia, and Chester.

Excellent

Plas Newydd
A lovely, peaceful small site. Greeted my Ben who then went out of his way to help us with setting up as it was our first time setting up on a slope. It’s easy and I’d now be confident having a go myself. We used our own facilities (Covid 19) but the water/waste was easy... plenty of sanitiser and rubbish is recycled easily, which is good to see Will definitely go back. Thanks for a great stay
