Offa's Meadow

Why stay here ...

• Alan and Julia welcome you to Offa’s Meadow which is situated in the quiet village of Forden on Offa’s Dyke with stunning views of Corndon Hill and Long Mountain.
• The CL is flat with 5 grass pitches.
• We have a separate enclosed area for dogs.
• Close by is Coed-y-Dinas Garden Centre with a restaurant and soft play area which will keep the children occupied during a wet afternoon and during school holidays they sometimes have special activities.
• The Derwen garden centre in Guilsfield is worth a visit. At certain times of the year they do a trail for children around the themed gardens and have a lovely onsite restaurant.
• The nearest town is Welshpool which is home to Powis Castle, a national trust site with wonderful walks around the vast gardens.
• Situated near the Raven pub in the town is the Llanfair light railway, a lovely journey to Llanfair through beautiful countryside.  
• A 30 minute drive will take you to Shrewsbury which has some wonderful walks along the river as well as shops, pubs and restaurants.
• The Love2Stay site is worth a visit and has 2 restaurants for food.
• A 30 minute drive in the other direction will take you to the market town of Oswestry where we can highly recommend a visit to the British Ironworks.
• Food and drinks can be found in various locations in the surrounding area.
• The village of Forden has 2 pubs, 1 of which serves food.
