Why stay here ...

A real find, Moorhampton Club Site is a charming, popular getaway which commonly sees its visitors return time and again. Formerly a railway station, the caravan park is nestled in the dreamy North Herefordshire countryside, with daffodils on the bank at the entrance and apple blossom in the orchard nearby.

Moorhampton Club Site is located in the area of the famous black and white villages - start at Weobley only 4 miles away; there's a trail you can follow to explore some of them. Right off the beaten track, here you will find the opportunity to experience a perfect example of an old English village, with the church at its heart and 14th to 16th century timber-framed cottages lining its streets. The market town of Ludlow and Ludlow Castle are both well worth a visit. Also located nearby is the beautiful countryside of the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The caravan site is also within easy reach of the beautiful River Wye - places like Symonds Yat offer canoeing and fishing for those who enjoy water sports. Golfers won't be disappointed as there are well kept greens and facilities to be found nearby.

Wardens

I have to add a 2nd review. After travelling around Wales for 3 weeks, the wardens here were not beaten. They always made time to talk, were always helpful and could not do enough to make sure you were ok and knew directions to travel and places to go. This was on top of daily duties. Pity they could not run all the sites...... Thanks Clive, Louise & Abbey

Cheese

Great site with great wardens. Local cheese making should not be missed. Easy area to travel and plenty to do. Our puppy barked and someone moaned about it, as to noisy....

relaxed & Peaceful

Lovely place to relax in. Great location for some countryside exploring. Add Weir Gardens (NT) to your places to visit. Site and facilities kept immaculate by two dedicated and friendly wardens. Although we tow, we chose to use the hourly bus service from the very close-by bus stop, for a day trip to Llandrindod Wells. Great value ( seniors card usable for the English part of journey) and superb views even though only single deckers. This is our second visit to Moorhampton in ten years and somewhere we will visit again.

An excellent stay to round off our holiday

We stayed here for a couple of nights to break our journey from Wales to Dorset. Quite agree with other reviews - a peaceful and beautifully kept site. Not to mention very jolly wardens! We shall return.
