A pleasant, open and level campsite in Cheshire, bordered by oak trees, Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite is conveniently placed just off the M53 gateway to North Wales and close to the delightful walled city of Chester. This campsite is also close to a lovely canal walkway, a local swimming pool, and has two pubs and shops just a short walk away.
Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite gives you easy access to the wealth of things to see and do in nearby Chester. Take in the sights while relaxing in an open top bus or wander around The Walls to absorb the colourful atmosphere. Immerse yourself in some history and tradition by seeing the town crier, the incredible 900-year old Cathedral and the Roman Amphitheatre. If all that sightseeing builds up your appetite, there are plenty of excellent restaurants on hand and for those who like a spot of shopping, The Rows Shopping Galleries will leave you spoilt for choice. From M56 Manchester take junction 15 onto M53 signposted Ellesmere Port (not Chester). The turn off is slightly further on so stay in middle lane. Leave M53 at junction 10 onto the A5117 (signposted Queensferry); in about 0.25 mile turn left in Little Stanney at the signpost to Chorlton (also see International Caravan Site signs). The site is on the left in 0.25 mile. From the A494: exit at junction 16 signposted A5117 Ellesmere Port. Follow brown international caravan signs for about 4 miles. Turn right into Rake Lane signposted Chorlton (brown CV sign). The site is on the left in 0.25 miles.

Nice site, handy location
Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite
We went in February, it was a bit wet but our pitch was fine. Pitch was massive, had loads of room. Toilets were spotless, possibly the cleanest we've seen.
Play area is a massive bonus for the kids.
Hand location for Chester Zoo, Cheshire oaks and other bits around.

Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite
Have been to the site many times, in sunshine, rain and even snow. This time it was when it had been raining. Sadly the site was extremely water logged. The pitch we chose was for an awning but we were not putting ours up on this occasion due to the really bad weather. The pitch itself had a part where the previous occupants caravan had sunk (wheel) into the pitch. When we came to hook up to the electricity, the grass was submerged under water. I informed the wardens and was advised to put down cardboard so that we could walk on it!
On a positive note, the site is really close to Cheshire Oaks and there are so many great places to eat. It really is ideally placed.
Despite being waterlogged I am still going to visit again, but possibly when the weather is better and the site not waterlogged.

Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite
Just returned from a four night stay at this site. The first thing to say was the facilities were the cleanest we have ever seen on a club site. Every time we went in they looked as if they were brand new and had never been used. Plenty of hot water and nice cubicles for the showers, you could actually have a shower without getting any of your clothes wet.
Bus stop about 10 to 15 minutes walk away, bus service to Chester good with a stop at the zoo.
Chester itself is very clean and welcoming and we will certainly return to this excellent site.
Some people have previously complained about surface water on the site but let’s be honest here, we have had unprecedented rainfall in recent months and travelling there you only have to look at the flooded fields.
The wardens are doing their best.
Excellent site
Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite
This really is a fantastic site in the perfect location to explore all that this area has to offer. Lovely welcome from the South African couple when we arrived, who gave plenty of information on local attractions, pubs, shops and bus timetables. All the facilities were lovely and clean. All heated and cosy. Spacious pitches.
Walking distance to nice pubs and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet where you can get the buses for trips to Chester and Liverpool.
Good idea to take a torch for the walk back to the site after a day out, as the last part of the walk doesn't have a pavement. Not the sites fault!
Would definitely use this site again.
Miles too expensive
Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite
Miles too expensive for what it is. Basically a car park. Very wet poor drainage, most signs fallen over, roadways not well defined and need maintaining, Bins (skips)only on exit, a bit of a walk with yr rubbish. Washrooms ok. Dog area was small and lacked drainage so un able to use. Will not be returning.
